Eh? what? repairing lotion? didn't "repair" so... what's this?
the cleanser was the one out of the three that dried my skin the most. hoping that this "lotion" would help repair this problem, what does it do? nothing, it doesn't even protect my face from breaking out. so i'd think this step is just to cover up your skin of the damage while your own skin heals on it's own instead. but if it didn't "repair" then what good/what was the purpose of this step?This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Don't believe the TV hype!

My one skincare mainstay
This lotion worked so well for me -- as an adult, I was always having problems with breakouts due to stress, PMS, lack of sleep, etc. This is the only acne product that made a difference for me, and it wasn't too drying (although, using it with the cleanser and toner did overdry my skin, so I just used the lotion). Not worth the money, don't believe those celebrities!
My daughter wanted to try the entire set of Proactiv so badly. I knew just from the commercials and all the celeberity endorsements who I'm sure don't really use the stuff, that is was probably a waste. But she was so excited about it so I ordered her the kit, including the repairing lotion. First of all, the bottles were all tiny, somehow in the commercial they looked larger. I felt so bad for her and I'm so mad at the celebrities that endorse something that they don't even use and like. It works for me
Until my mid-twenties, I had never needed anything more than the occasional use of over the counter products. Then I developed a pimple rash across my whole jaw and chin and then my forehead. I have been using Proactiv for almost 3 years. I use the lotion along with the Proactiv cleanser and toner every morning. I used to use the lotion in the evening, then I got new sheets and the lotion sweated ...read moreout of my pores and bleached my pillow cases in spots. Also, be careful of washing your face around your clothes, the cleanser and toner will also bleach the color out of clothing. I have oily skin and this product has helped balance my face out. I had no issues with dryness. If I use it at least once per day, my skin stays mostly clear. It works much better if I use it morning and evening, sans the lotion in the evening. I pick at pimples when I get them and the lotion helps them heal faster. I get auto-shipments every 12 weeks, the longest interval available. I never run out and I never get backed up. The website lets you change the combination of products anytime. So if I end up with more lotion, because I use it less, than cleanser, then I can order extra cleanser in place of more lotion. Can live without this product

dries your skin

Does not work for everyone.

Proactiv really works
I have been using the Proactiv products, (cleanser, toner and repairing lotion) daily for the two months. I have adult acne and I must say that these products really work. I have very sensitive skin and Proactiv, unlike many other acne treatments I had previously tried, doesn't dry out or irritate my skin. My face has cleared up and on the rare occasion that I get a pimple, (I think I've had only ...read moretwo since using the products) it heals very quickly while using Proactiv.
