  Good moisturizer; but....

  I used the Velocity set for several months and really, really liked it. ProActive, for some reason, didn't really do too much for my (moderate) acne. I quit this routine because of the Acne Treatment Gel (read separate review) but was pleased with the Cleanser and Lotion. The lotion was lightweight, non-greasy, and ...isn't heavy with overpowering fragrances that are bad for the skin. However, I do warn customers to use with caution! This product has two disadvantages: 1. If put on too thickly, or applied to closely to foundation, your foundation (I tried this with both liquid and cream varieties) will...how do I explain it? Almost like little rubber cement shavings that you'll need to brush off your face, and sometimes streaks a bit. If you apply a really thin layer of lotion and leave about 20 minutes between application of it and your foundation, you should be okay. 2. No idea if this will happen with other colors, but beware that this WILL stain lavender/grey. I ruined three pillowcases and a few shirt necklines before figuring out that the Velocity moisturizer (but much worse, the Acne Treatment Gel) will bleach the color out of these shades. I know those two things sound really horrible, but I really do recommend this system to youth who want to manage their acne with a well-priced and well-developed system.   Amazing

  I absolutely love this product. You only have to use a little and it moisturizer all day. I use it with the cleanser and it is the only set I will use. It helps control oil and shine all day. June 11, 2008, 7:24 am

  Gentle, refreshing product

  A great light moisturizer that wears long and does not dry skin out. Personal experience of 2 years using the product on sensitive face in collaboration with the cleanser and it has been gentle enough on my skin. Highly recommended and a great value package. June 1, 2008, 10:19 pm

  Great for Oily Skin

  If you have oily skin, this is the moisturizer for you! Once I started using this product regularly, my skin cleared up and because much less oily! I was so impressed. May 8, 2008, 10:08 am

  I\'d been using Velocity for a while because it\'s very light. However, it doesn\'t do a good job with controlling shine. I still use it as an evening moisturizer, but this probably isn\'t your best bet if your skin tends to be oily. December 6, 2007, 9:44 pm

  Mary Kay Velocity Lightweight Moisturizer - So worth it.

  Mary Kay has really impressed me with their Velocity line. For those with really fine skin to medium skin, this is perfect. It does not leave skin feeling oily, but does not dry it out. It feels cool and refreshed and is a great follow-up to the Velocity cleanser. Another great thing about this is that it's perfect for mois...turizing before concealer. It doesn't feel like it's clogging pores, making it super light and extra refreshing. However, for heavier skin, opt for something heavier. December 13, 2009, 9:56 am

  It's the best!!

  the actual cleanser is nice, but the moisturizer is a lot better because i an wash my face with anything i want & then put this on & keeps my face soft. It's not super oily, i can immediatley start doing my make up right after i put it on August 20, 2009, 1:40 pm

  Great for oily skin

  I've used the Velocity moisturizer for years. I am oily and acne prone. This product is very lightweight and doesn't make my face shine or feel greasy, yet I get the moisture I need. My skin feels great! February 22, 2009, 12:49 pm
