    Be Oil & Shine Free

    by Glamorous (149 reviews)
    Top 100 ReviewerTrusted Review
I have very oily skin, and I usually use about a good 10 blotting sheets every 3 hours, literally. However, after my visit to the MAC counter in the middle of the afternoon (with my scorching oily face) changed my mind. This Blot Powder/Pressed is phenomenal! I've been been searching for this product forever thinking that m...ineral or powder makeup would do the trick; which only makes it worse. I recommend this product to everyone! I wish there would be SPF or antioxidants in here though. Try Chanel's if you do. September 17, 2008, 4:23 pm

    Holy Grail of Blot Powders!!

    by SHDTINKERBELL (3 reviews)
K can't rave enough about this blot powder!! It's by far the best blot powder I've ever had. Have been trying other blotting powders but didnt try MAC till a friend bought it for my B'Day - I have never used anything else!! and believe I've got the most oily skin among my friends. In the past have made like a zillion trips ...to the loo/per day just to blot out my skin b/c the shine kept comming but Mac's blot powder keeps me matte for the entire day. If anything I don't use the blot powder a second time during the day just use a tissue once to blot the oilies and i'm good as new!! :) February 24, 2008, 10:19 pm

    Amazing Results

This is a great blot powder. Usually, this is good to set foundation because some shades will get dramatically darker after setting so dusting blot powder balances out the coordinating shade and gives me a matte look. I can dust it where I'm really shiny but just tap it lightly on the cheeks for a semi-dewy healthy look. ... Also, on days where my skin looks more radiant, I can just touch it up with concealer and use this and it'll eliminate the shine. This also lasts quite a while. One case of this usually will last me six months. This will not chalk up the face either making skin look dull and flaky. It's best applied with a large powder brush. November 30, 2007, 1:12 am

An excellent pressed powder for oily skin

    by zernelle (130 reviews)
    Top 100 ReviewerTrusted Review
This is the best powder I have used so far. This does a great job of making my skin look smooth and controlling the oil in my T-zone, and it never looks dry or chalky. As for the color, it runs very light. I have fair skin, and medium is the perfect color for me. I have no idea why they call it "medium," but the ...light is practically white. Ingredients: Dimethicone, Silica, Kaolin, Water, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Methicone, Coconut Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben. May Contain: Mica, Iron Oxides. Perfect

I have pretty oily skin and get that dreaded shiny nose by lunchtime. I usually alternate between blot papers or this fantastic powder. It does a fantastic job of controlling the shine and dispersing the oils. The color is not visible, however you might want to get a shade darker than you normally would if you plan to apply... it more than 2 times a day, because the light colors may look a little chalky after a while. Beautiful product though, I always keep it in my purse. January 20, 2008, 1:12 pm

    It's phenomenal!

    by tania_nia (12 reviews)
This powder really is amazing. Somehow it has a tint but doesn't alter the color of foundation. It doesn't look cakey or anything. Perfect if you get oily in the T-zone especially in the middle of the day. Some use this to set their makeup. Plus it lasts a long time and is not that pricey. Can use a brush or the enclosed... puff though I would replace the puff about midway for hygenic reasons. December 12, 2007, 1:01 pm

The best touch up powder out there

    by Curlylocks (3 reviews)
I have used so many different compacts, but after trying the loose version, I had to try the pressed. I love it. I hate the price as I go through it relatively quickly, but I only need 1-2 touch ups a day (even in summer), and the color is great (medium) and it doesn't cake up or make you look like you've applied something ...on top of your makeup mid-day. Thumbs up! November 29, 2007, 1:48 pm

    The best!

    by Karin1 (2 reviews)
Shiny? This powder is truly the greatest product you could add to your makeup bag. It banishes oil without leaving a heavy powder finish, ever, no matter how many times you re-apply during the day. It's my favorite anti-shine product. November 24, 2007, 10:23 am

There are cheaper products that do the same

    by apenthy (27 reviews)
I was in love with MAC for a while but recently i've found a much cheaper store bought brand I like. As for the blot powder MAC's is very nice but I find that Maybelline Shine Free works the same if not better. Actually I would say it works better. My face becomes instantly matte when using shine free. As for wear, they... both are the same for me. I have extremely oily skin and I would have to use either one of these products several times a day. The MAC powder leaves me cakier then the Maybelline shine free and the price differenece is crazy.
