Avon Advance Techniques Dry Ends Serum

The smell of this silicone-based finishing serum/treatment might remind you of Aqua Net. A pump of the mini spray bottle releases a dollop of clear, slippery almost-liquid that blends into a thin coating on palms. Frizzy ends and flyaway strands are immediately less noticeable. Hair looks glossy and feels slick, not soft. Sparse use will keep hair from looking weighed down or dirty. Palms retain sheen and smell like silicone, so wash up.

Great Utilitarian & Travel-Sized to Boot!

Ends dry out and this smoothes everything out. Just don't use it too close to your scalp or you will get a greasy need-to-shampoo look. It fits perfect to throw into your bag so you can smooth on the go! I travel with this because it is under the 3oz limit for carry-on and I bring my flat-iron and use this and I'm good to go! You can't beat all this for the Avon price! Get it on sale and you won't regret it! June 10, 2008, 12:57 am

slick, wishes it was super skinny

    by corizotti (339 reviews)
but its not. plus, it doesnt smell too great. it works well, as a blodry serum, or flatiron serum...the super reasonable price makes the shortcomings understandable. buy it on sale, or at an avon outlet and youre getting a real bargain for a staple type product. May 29, 2008, 7:07 pm

    Love this stuff

    by j_orestano (57 reviews)
I use this all the time (only on the ends) under my usual creams and gels I use in my hair. My hair is quite long and the serum really helps mask split ends and adds shine. "Extra strength" works even better. May 5, 2008, 8:29 pm

A little dab will do ya

    by nanner9xb (11 reviews)
I use this daily on my 8 year old's long hair.... a couple squirts in the hand and apply to the ends... then brush away.... it not only keeps her hair in better condition but helps with the snaggles too. I buy it every time it's on sale. April 29, 2008, 7:43 am

A little dab will do you

I guess I should have read the label better because I used way too much. I wanted control and I ended up with slick. I haven't tried it again yet but I do intend to the only thing I can say is be sure to read the label. April 26, 2008, 9:40 pm

    Pretty good

    by Sunscene (2 reviews)
Just don't use too much or anywhere but the very ends because your hair will appear greasy. It does the job of taming fly aways, but I was wanting an overall smooth blowdry job. This is not the product for that. April 25, 2008, 8:22 am

    I love this stuff

    by Fgibbs (4 reviews)
I was not sure if I was wasting my money or not when I first purchased this product. If so I was only out 5 dollars. I was amazed at how well it worked . It helps with fly aways and frizzy hair. I love this product and will not try anything eles . You can not beat a product that is only five dollars. December 26, 2007, 11:34 am

Smooths out frizzies and dry ends.

    by maggles (4 reviews)
I like the scent. Not as yummy-smelling as the Body Shop's Define & No Frizz (my favourite hair-smoothing cream), but a useful product nonetheless. Does an excellent job of smoothing out frizzies and split/dry ends to give you the appearance of silky, healthy-looking hair. December 25, 2007, 6:59 am

A great serum at a great price

    by mellygck (2 reviews)
I have used Frizz Ease for a log time but the price for a small bottle is $10. But this product is comparable and at a great price. Sometimes I can get it on sale for 2 for $6. Which is even better. Ask you AVON representative for a sample and try it. August 18, 2008, 9:56 am
