This makes your hair wet, therefore making it appear shiny, but it's not as shiny as if you used silicone based products. This makes hair clumpy and stuck together, so it's hard to spread thinly, and it feels somewhat dirty. I got butchered at a salon that my bf highly recommended - lets just say a gal took thinning scissors to the very top of my head, in sections - so I was left with some VERY short pieces of hair mixed in with my longer hair - I knew I could hide it in a pony or a headband, but there were some pieces around my hairline that were sticking up like Alph-alpha's hair - this really held those little suckers down and didn't leave any evidence that I had used product.
