The packaging brags it's "The World's Best Lip Balm," and it is indeed in the running. Full of natural ingredients including sunflower oil, castor oil and beeswax, it glides on effortlessly, unlike other hard, waxy balms. The tint is sheer, but bolder than it appears in the tube. It's not long-lasting (the tingly peppermint is irresistible to lick), so it requires frequent reapplication. But whipping out the signature yellow tube in public isn't so bad because it doesn't seem like high-maintenance primping.

Lovely, But Need to Reapply Often
A friend and colleague of mine was recovering from cancer surgery and told me she uses no products with synthetic ingredients. I bought her this gloss as a little surprise gift and put it in her mailbox at school (of course, I purchased one for myself). This is quite moisturizing with Shea Butter, a multitude of oils (Sunflower, Castor, Strawberry Seed, Apricot Kernel, Black Currant, and Soybean, for starters), Beeswax, and Vitamin E. She and I both greatly enjoy the lovely shimmering colors (not overwhelming, just charming) and the hard-to-resist Peppermint scent, but we found ourselves applying constantly. I like it!
I like the minty scent. It's not as moisturizing as the plain, unshimmery balm, but it's good for a product that combines a nice amount of color and balm. I have the Watermelon color and I think it's just right--not too pigmented and not too sheer, and not too glittery/shimmery. The only problem is that it's a little messy--it tends to get around the white plastic edge and you can't twist it down far enough to avoid smushing it sometimes when you put the lid on.
