Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer

The packaging brags it's "The World's Best Lip Balm," and it is indeed in the running. Full of natural ingredients including sunflower oil, castor oil and beeswax, it glides on effortlessly, unlike other hard, waxy balms. The tint is sheer, but bolder than it appears in the tube. It's not long-lasting (the tingly peppermint is irresistible to lick), so it requires frequent reapplication. But whipping out the signature yellow tube in public isn't so bad because it doesn't seem like high-maintenance primping.

Champagne is nice, a little too light for my skin tone, but COCOA is awesome! I found a winner, and would love to try to find some more! Always keep at least 2 in my purse!

Great!

They're great for just a bit of color and I especially appreciate the ingredients list gets a fairly decent rating on the Skin Deep Cosmetic Safety Database - which seems fairly important since I'm probably licking my lips and ingesting a bit of this everyday! Glides on so smoothly

The color is not too sheer, nor is it too thick. It looks natural but definitely enhanced with some color. I've tried 3 of the colors and so far, Watermelon is my favorite. Its a nice pink color. I so wanted to like this product! but, I could never find a color that I liked, they are either too dark or too light. I have light-medium skin tone and usually don't have issues with match up. After a trip to Spain, I realized I can survive on just tinted moisturizer, a great mascare, and BURT'S BEES Lip Shimmer!
My favorite color is Nutmeg, but you can try them all. It leaves just the right amount of pigment to make your lips defined and shimmering, but doesn't look "make-up"-ey. You'll also notice a cooling sensation as mint is an ingredient. As an added bonus, they taste great, so KISS AWAY! November 12, 2007, 3:29 pm

Lip balm.. with great color!
