Whip this gadget out in a crowd and someone's bound to yell, "What's that?! I want one!" We'll give props for the clever design (there's a blinding, push-button LED light in the wand and a mirror on one side of the bottle), but does applying gloss really necessitate this kind of engineering? Lipstick and colored gloss, maybe. Clear gloss, no. It's got a candy-like sweetness, which you'd better like because you'll need several coats to get strong shine.

Ok, so just about every blog out there is raving about this lip gloss and I don't blame them! It's more of a toy than anything - I especially love pulling it on when I'm at a party or in the club. Girls FLOCK to it, I've stopped people mid-sentence with it.
But as for color and shine well, it's more moisturizer than anything. I like to wear it when I'm just sitting around so my lips won't get dry and I hardly ever wear it alone. It's a great product to layer over something else with intense color. When it's worn alone it is very, very neutral.
But the packaging makes up for any of its shortcomings, I mean seriously HOW CUTE! October 19, 2007, 8:51 pm

Yes, the light is fun, and the mirror on the side is super helpful. But the packaging is about the only thing this gloss has going for it. It's very thin and doesn't give much color at all. Instead of shimmer, you end up with what almost appears to be glitter. Not really what I was going for. I just wish this product had a more substantial gloss to go with the ingenious packaging. I agree with the other reviewers: the quality of the gloss is unworthy of the fabulousness of the packaging. But I have found the bottle to be super, super useful. You don't realize how often you need a LED until you have one: find dropped change under your car seat, make sure you've picked everything up when you leave the movie theatre, find keys inside your purse in the dark. I'm sad they've discontinued the product: I use the light ALL the time. June 11, 2008, 10:10 am
