Good product but... how much do I need to use before this is a bad idea.

It recommended a dime/nickel sized amount but found that unless I filled the entire palm of my hand with product it just wouldn't do what it needed to do. Using that much product certainly got my hair the way I wanted to look, but I found I was going through 5-6 bottles a month. And I found I was using even more as time passed. It was almost like my hair was becoming desensitized to the product. I ended up switching to Aveda's Be Curly lines Curl Enhancer. While the initial spend is higher, it comes with a lot more product and it lasts about 3-4 times longer. Plus, I do not feel like it is drying out my hair, like I did with John Frieda at times. Currently still in recovery. October 15, 2007, 6:26 pm

I have tried almost all of the frizz-ease products (I started trying them out as a teenager when I had trouble controlling my naturally curly hair) and none of them have been the "miracle" product they are purported to be. This serum is just a basic hair serum no better than any by Pantene, Dove, Sunsilk, Tresemme, or any of the other drugstore brands. In fact, many of these brands have improved their products over time while frizz-ease has remained the same. Save your money on the frizz-ease line--go for their luminous color glaze instead, it's great! May 8, 2008, 12:49 pm

I like to work a tiny (and I mean tiny) bit into my bangs to keep them from frizzing and doing their own thing. It should be noted that it really doesnt take much to do the job (one pump in hands, rub them together before applying to hair), and I can tell you from experience, that a bit too much will give you hair that looks like it hasnt been washed in days! My hair isn't too frizzy by any means, but it is a bit poofy after washing. This serum doesn't help the poofiness right after the washing, but afterwards it works. The thermal protection one is better though, for you get protection from heat styling. December 29, 2007, 8:28 pm

So when I went to school we didn't have computers and had to either type our papers on electric typewriters or write them by hand with the EraserMate pen, and you couldn't get any ethnic food other than Chinese, and girls like me walked around with frizzy hair cause this stuff hadn't come out yet. Are you kidding me?

One word: Wow. I never bought into the hype of this hair serum. But, my hair dresser used it on me one time, and I didn't even notice. However, after all that blow out, my hair was not frizzy at all. It was smooth to the touch, almost like cashmere. It gave me such a hugeee shine! Wow. So, I called my hair dresser and asked... So-So

    by lindz990 (125 reviews)
I'm not sure why everyone thinks this is so great... I used it as directed and saw very little change in the amount of frizziness in my hair. My hair felt almost heavy with it, like it just weighed it down without rally giving any sleeker of a look. April 26, 2008, 9:59 am
