Frizz-Ease Hair Serum Original Formula Reviews
-
No longer the best
luckybetty (880 reviews)This was my very first hair serum. I used to like it, and it used to be adequate enough because I did not know much about other frizz control products. Since then, I have tried many other anti-frizz serum/lotion products, and I hate to say this, some work much better than this one. While it is lightly scented and makes my hair a bit less frizzy, Frizz-Ease serum makes my hair look a little greasy and weigh-down. Nowadays there are outperforming serums, such as Redken Glass Serum and Got2b Smooth Operator, which not only tame frizzy hair but also add shine and smoothness. — 1 year, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Works for shine and frizz
modinosaur (47 reviews)Just a little on the ends and your good to go. Too much and your hair will look greasy. I have had the same bottle for so many months and its about half gone. — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Don't use too much!
RavenLoudspeakr (270 reviews)This is a great product. It really fights frizz and adds shine, but it will weigh down your hair terribly and make it greasy if you use too much of it. It had a pleasant, though faint smell and the small bottle lasts you forever if you follow the directions. I love how soft my hair is after using it. — 3 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Serum
runee89 (243 reviews)This isn't a bad product but it isn't enough if you have really bad frizz. If you need just a little frizz control, this will work nicely to smooth some of it; you'll need more products otherwise. If you add just a little, you'll have beautiful shine though. I also love that they changed the nozzle so that you twist it closed which is nice because you can throw it in your bag and not worry about getting icky oil stains all over. — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Nothing special
cherrypie (195 reviews)John Frieda is a man of many claims, it's just too bad that his products don't deliver. I have tried almost all of the frizz-ease products (I started trying them out as a teenager when I had trouble controlling my naturally curly hair) and none of them have been the "miracle" product they are purported to be. This serum is just a basic hair serum no better than any by Pantene, Dove, Sunsilk, Tresemme, or any of the other drugstore brands. In fact, many of these brands have improved their products over time while frizz-ease has remained the same. Save your money on the frizz-ease line--go for their luminous color glaze instead, it's great! — 3 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

So What?
OhMandy (199 reviews)I definetely do NOT get the big deal over this hair product. It is not the miracle worker some seem to think it is in my opinion. I found it extremely greasy and weighing down if I used more than the littlest drop-this is not made so clear on the directions. Greasy is not the answer to no frizz and I still had some of that too. I will not buy this again-several less expensive drugstore products like some of the Freeman products, worked better. — 3 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

No Frizz!
MJay13 (87 reviews)I use about a dime size or so on my damp hair. I have never had a product make my hair so soft and frizz free and shiny. Without looking greasy and weighing it down. — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

I always come back!
Moosh29 (48 reviews)Having curly hair, I've spent so much time trying new products for my hair since I was 13 years old. I love, love, LOVE this product. I can use it when wearing my hair curly so it's not frizzy ( I hate having crunchy hair) and I can use it when I blow out my hair. It eliminates frizz, makes my hair shinier, and smells great. I've tried other cheaper brands only to keep coming back to this product. Some say it's pricey, but I think it's definately worth the $. It lasts for quite a while if you use it as directed. You're hair won't be greasy if you use a dime size amount. (I use about a nickel's size since my hair is really thick.) — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Love This Stuff
Aes1783 (38 reviews)Ok, let me start out by saying, I do not have curly hair. My hair is fine and fairly straight, however I like everyone else these days style my hair on a daily basis with a hair dryer and straightener. I also highlight my hair several times a year. In combination with the stress I put onto my hair, coupled with the fact that as we grow older our hair changes and typically becomes more corse I decided to give this product a try. While I have to be careful of overdoing it, I only use a very small amount, I'm talking less than a dime size. Plus, you have to apply to your very ends, otherwise this product will leave your hair looking and feeling greasy. If you use it right, your hair is left so soft, straight and manageable it's ridiculous! This product has been a staple for me for years. I especially love it in the summer to fight humidity. — 3 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Just Smells Good
EduardaCullen (7 reviews)I guess this product is allure certified because it worked for SOMEONE out there, particularly an allure employee. However, this product did little for me. It smelled wonderful, though! It was nice for an extra shine after blow-drying but my hair is naturally curly and I like to keep it like that sometimes. It didn't take away significant frizz, just weighed it down. *sigh — 3 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
