Rich, Lush, Ultra-Moisturizing

Even though it's summer, sometimes my skin cries out for a lush, rich face cream (it always does in cold weather). L'Occitane's "Shea Butter" version is a dream! I never forgot a plastic surgeon's advice that shea and cocoa butters are some of the most potent ingredients you can use on your skin for healing and hydration. It comes in a very lovely tub. This is a thick cream and can be a bit greasy, so this is not for those with oily skin, only for parched complexions or those exposed to the elements. It leaves skin like pure velvet.

The richest face cream EVER!

Wow, this cream is super-duper rich!! First of all, unlike the image here, it did not come with a tube, but mine was a 1.7 fl.oz tub. I have oily/combination skin so I would usually never ever use a cream like this. But during the last skiing trip, my facial skin became really dry, dehydrated and itchy due to the long exposure to sun and winter weather. It contained 25% Shea Butter. My irritated and dry skin got better, but it also left my face a bit greasy feeling. After the trip was over, I gave it to my mom. I only recommend this cream to those with extremely dry skin or when travel to the driest/coldest place you could imagine.

Very good.

When I could afford it, I used this face cream in the winter. It soaks in well and lasts a long time- upon waking my face still felt great.

best

this cream moisturizes my dry painful skin in winter. its the only thing i can use that actually does the job. it soothes redness and keeps my skin moisturized for 24 hours!! plus, it smells soooo light and powdery. its on the top of my list of "things i cannot live without".

Too greasy for me

I have combination skin and found that this was a bit too rich for me, even in the winter. It left me with a slight oily sheen--yuck. It might work for someone with very dry skin, though.

ultra rich

My friends who have oily complexions cringe when I talk about needing a rich moisturizer for my dry skin. I liked this, but have used better products. I really like there stuff so was a little disappointed.

Not My Fave

It has a nice consistency and my face felt fine--but not great--after using it. I can not, however, get past the smell. I think it smells very similiar to baby wipes, so I couldn't even finish my sample of it. I usually like L'Occitane products, but I was not impressed by this one.

Very Rich

I first received a sample and loved it. Bought the full size and use it twice a day. Leaves my skin feeling very moisturized. The downside is its a little greasy and I don't love the smell, but I can tell it is doing wonders for my skin.
