Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder
Editor's Rating & Review
The effect of this specialized loose powder is so subtle, I can see why they called it a "secret." The minute brightening power comes from shimmery mica particles mixed with a base of white/lightly tinted talc and silica. Effects are so faint, application may seem unnecessary; but the powder can help set concealer and prevent mascara smudges under eyes. Soft and finely milled, the product is unscented and surprisingly non-drying. (Tip: When opening, gently pull the sticker from the sifter to avoid making a mess.)

Nice but not for all Skin Tones
EireItalia (270 reviews)This product is a good idea and it does brighten the eye area - maybe too much. If you have medium, olive, dark or even light olive skin this powder can be a bit too light around the eyes. In a bright or natural sunlight setting it looks obvious and artificial. It has too much white pigment in it. No one wants the reverse raccoon eyes look. If your eye shadow or liner colors are dark this product will intensify the darkness and give a very gothic, almost creepy look. I'd recommend this product for very fair and fair skin as it would work well for them. — 3 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Not My Favorite
OhMandy (199 reviews)There are a few products from this line I LOVE but not this one-suprisng to me considering the favorable reviews. It was a little too light and did not seem to do much in terms of look or setting make up. I was not even sure how much I needed as it did not seem to matter how much I put on-it stlll did not seem to do much. It had a nice feel but that is not enought-especially for the money. I really worked with it but am over it now. Dissapointing. — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

great for setting eye makeup
happyvivi (3 reviews)I used to apply press powder or 2 way-cake on my eyes but it was too heavy and fine lines appeared. Chanced this product while i was shopping, have been using it for 1 year plus and its really good for setting eye-makeup and helped to brightened my eyes. I applied this after my concealer. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
