Drew Barrymore Shows Off Her Awesome Body in Harper's Bazaar

As she proves in the October issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine, Drew Barrymore has gotten her body back into its former "Charlie's Angels" crime-fighting form.

The 35-year-old actress, whose latest flick, "Going the Distance," is performing well at the box office, graces the cover of the fashion book and looks stunning with long honey-blonde hair. She also gets to don some serious couture on the magazine's inside pages.

Barrymore, no stranger to being in charge, acted as Creative Director for her shoot, getting her inspiration from 1960s "It Girls" Sharon Tate and Verushka and a lot of vintage glamour from designers like Dior, Givenchy, Valentino and Chanel.

But, just because she comes across so glam, doesn't mean she is. "I actually really love to lie in bed, watch TV, be a total sloth, and eat my favorite food: Kraft macaroni and cheese," the former child star says in the Bazaar interview. "Last night I was watching The Next Food Network Star, eating mac and cheese, and feeling grand. And that was after I wore a sequined Givenchy gown with giant holes cut out of it," she said of the fashion shoot that she'd done earlier that day. (That gown, incidentally, showcased her incredibly toned abs, and several of her many tattoos.)

But, clearly with abs like that, the actress can't lie in bed eating bon bons (and mac and cheese) 24-7. And, she doesn't. Not surprisingly, as she tells the mag, she works out "two or three hours" a week but maintains that she sometimes resembles a certain famous killer whale.

"There is some lighting where I absolutely resemble Shamu. People have to know that you pick the best pictures where the lighting is beautiful and the angles are right and the body positions are gorgeous. And then, guess what, you turn, sit, hit the wrong light, and your belly flaps over and we all look human again," she admits to Bazaar.

Ah. SO very good to hear.

Still, Barrymore, who famously shot to fame at the tender age of seven when "E.T." made her a household name, feels she's coming in to her own at long last, telling the magazine, ""I feel like some of my baby fat is going away, and that's not just physically, it's psychologically. I think that your body is in tune with your mind and your spirituality and your heart. If things are going better, I just think you look better."

And, having a happy love life can make you look better too. Barrymore didn't have anything but the highest accolades for her co-star in "Going the Distance," (and on-again/off-again beau) Justin Long. "He's the cat's pajamas, I couldn't love, respect, admire, and enjoy that individual more than I do," she says about the Mac pitchman. "It would be physically impossible for me to have any more giggly joy at this person."

Sounds like everything's going swimmingly for Drew Barrymore at long last.

If you want to read the entire interview and see all the stunning photos, the October issue of Harper's Bazaar is on stands now.
