  • From PH-based blush to at-home LED teeth whiteners -- we bring you the most innovative new technologies in luxe beauty products. Have you tried any of these products yet? Which ones do you think are true breakthroughs, and which don't live up to the hype?

  • A pH-based flush: Stila Custom Color Blush, $20

  • Introducing … the first pH-based powder blush that reacts with your unique skin tone and pH to create a customized shade. How? Well, your pH is as unique as your fingerprint, and according to Stila, "when combined with the raw ingredient, Red 27, it reacts to the pH (acid/alkaline) level in the skin creating a custom color on each individual." Bonus: This blush smoothes the appearance of fine lines and blemishes, giving your cheeks a flawless pop of color.

  • Eye de-puffing miracle: La Mer The Eye Balm Intense, $145

  • The eye area is prone to a buildup of fluids that can lead to puffiness, but this groundbreaking eye treatment helps speed up your skin’s natural repair process to refresh your eye area. How? Deep Sea Red Algae -- the secret sauce in the new Marine De-Puff Ferment formula. What makes it so special? It re-energizes fatigued-looking skin, reduces visible irritation around the eye area and helps, well, de-puff.

  • LED light teeth whitener: O SMILE Smile Whitening LightG, $169

  • This claims to be the first, truly effective white LED light device available over-the-counter, we haven't tried it just yet, so the jury is still out on whether it works. The LED light reaches all tooth surfaces and it's said to give you visibly whiter teeth after only one treatment. In fact, it claims better results in a single 30-minute treatment than your run-of-the-mill seven to 10-day topical/gel system.

  • Lipstick and gloss in one: Pro Color & Gloss Lip Duo from Avon, $10

  • Introducing the first-ever lipstick with a built-in gloss core. This multi-tasking team allows you to first apply a creamy base lip color by twisting the lipstick; then to top it with a shiny matching gloss, squeeze the bottom of the tube. It's very 007.

  • Hair thinning fix: Phyto Phytolium 4, $60

  • A biotechnological innovation, Phytolium 4 is the first formula for thinning hair with CapicellPro, an energizing botanical concentrate that protects follicular cells. With four patents to back it up, this regenerating complex helps prolong hair life, delay hair thinning, encourage growth and redensify hair. If you're not concerned about thinning hair, we bet the guy in your life will go gaga over this.

  • Neck tightener: La Prairie Anti-Aging Neck Cream, $200

  • As part of the aging process, our skin loses its essential nutrients, which results in dehydration, thinning and age spots -- especially in the neck and chin area. Also, gravity isn't forgiving to the neck and chest, and the area under our jaw is prone to accumulating fat, which can equal a double chin (gotta love getting older). This anti-aging neck cream helps by employing three R's:

  • Refirm: An innovative, new peptide elicits the production of elastin and promotes a skin-firming elastic fiber. Plus, a tensing agent tightens skin.

  • Reshape: La Prairie plays with Botanical Glaucine (a volume-reducing complex) in a new way, which breaks down existing fat cells and holds back the formation of new fat cells, reducing that double chin look.

  • Renew: Resurrection plant extract helps refresh cell metabolism and hydrate skin; microencapsulation technology helps reduce age spots.

  • Who needs a face lift if this cream actually lives up to claims, right?

  • Acne preventer: Zeno Heat Treat, $39.99

  • This multi-purpose solution treats and prevents (the original Zeno only treated current breakouts) common types of acne. A heat-activated vibrating device facilitates the absorption of the molecular-size acne medication serum, penetrating into pores to combat acne-causing bacteria. The serum's lipid-dissolving and keratolytic action helps minimize future breakouts by unclogging pores.

    Your Comment:

    • I couldn't find any info online about Red 27 responding to individual pH. I'm curious if this is another one of those exaggerated claims.
