Rolled updo If you want a break from the onslaught of braided updos dominating this summer's hair trends, this twisted retro hairstyle is the ideal variation.
How-to: Run a light mousse through your hair, which will give the hairstyle grip but still look touchable and soft. "Part hair down the middle and twist one side and secure with bobby pins at the nape of your neck; repeat on the opposite side," says Sorbie. Criss-cross twisted hair, tucking ends into rolled hair. Finish with a mist of strong-hold hairspray.
There were a bit too many braid styles in here for me, but overall I love these hair ideas. It is always challenging to keep your hair off your neck in a creative and pretty way. It's nice to get some inspiration.
Seriously, the article would be more appropriately titled if it said something like "best hair styles for people with straight, blonde hair," because it certainly doesn't help the rest of us.
the sock bun is amazingly easy and you dont actually have to use a sock you can use a hair donut. they are sold online at www.prettybunsboutique.com. .. easier and more perfect than a sock xoxo
I love sock buns because they really work for any hair length! Seriously, my hair comes right above the tops of my shoulders and I rock sock buns like no other. You don't use the method said in the slideshow. There are plenty of youtubers that explain it for short -haired gals!
Most of these would be difficult to do with all the layers I have in my hair but they are really pretty ideas, I have done a sock bun and it looks really good!
Love wearing my hair up in the Florida summertime! The only one that was a bit much was the french braid ponytail. The french braid topknot is gorgeous!
