No. 2: Barielle Advanced Formula Porcelain Skin Brightening Cream, $20

TotalBeauty.com average reader rating: 5.1*
Why: Readers say they were "disappointed in this product" because of its "thick white, chalky consistency." One reader says, "It is so thick that you can't actually rub it all the way in, since it starts to clump up on the surface of your skin." Another reader says it "made [her] look like a ghost, all chalky and powdery white." "I wanted to remove spots, but this stuff was way too thick and slimy," another reader complains. They say it is "gross smelling" and "does not do anything to lighten blotches." The general consensus? "Don't waste your money on this."

have have uneven skin tone and acne scar, so I've used half of the products listed plus others not on the list. I haven't seen any real results expect for Clinique Even Better Dark Spot Corrector. It's pricy but it did lighten my acne scars. I'm using Philosophy miracle Dark spot corrector (i think that's the whole name) And It's getting there. Hope i can review that soon.
