Smoke-ify your eyes The look is about a metallic, dark gray eye -- heavy on the liner -- for nighttime. "Even with these dark shades, metallic textures give it a light feeling," says Nars makeup artist James Boehmer. Create dimension and depth by layering a gray shadow like Bourjois Ombre a Paupières Eyeshadow in Gris Delicat (14) ($14, sephora.com) on top of the bronze shadow you used in the a.m., Miller says -- and go strong on the lash line and crease.
I think I need to work on finding a daytime look. I can do a killer smokey eye and dark shadows always look good on me, but I can never seem to get that neutral look. Now to find the right article for that....
