Where is L'Oreal? They, hands down, make the best drugstore hair care products. Pantene does nothing but damage your hair further if there are already issues (but my mom loves the Silver Expressions line for her hair). John Frieda makes the best products for red hair. I mix that with my L'Oreal Total Repair 5 for amazing results.

I remember when I was 16 (I'm now 20), and I dyed my hair 9 TIMES in ONE day! Yes, I know, beyond stupid and flat out impulsive. My hair was completely fried and extremely damaged. I considered cutting half of it off. I was in serious need of a product that would help repair it. I was at WalMart, browsing hair products for damaged hair, and stumbled upon this one. I purchased it along with the conditioner that goes with it, used it for a couple months, and WOW - saw a 70% improvement! My hair was SO much healthier and stronger. Does anyone know if they still sell this line? I can't seem to find it at WalMart. Right now I use Dove Shampoo and Conditioner Intensive Repair and it's the 2nd best so far for me.

i dont think that the organix shampoo is all that good. it left myhair feeling very dry, and coarse and i have super super fine nd oily hair so i didnt even think that was possible. the conditione didnt help either. i was very shocked because i have used this brand in the past and i was very pleased with the other products.

I think they need to re-check this, Herbal Essences is sooo bad for hair in the long-run. Well, at least for my hair, and considering all the dying, ironing, curling my hair is nice and healthy. I use Tresemme and its wonderful, my hair just soaks in all the conditioning and its helped a lot with split ends as well. However, none of these products are that good. In fact, if what you want is healthy look for organic products, in this list Organix is the best.

Mine and my Daughter friiend whom is a Professional hairdresser---she works magic on anyone. If you want a Color---cut she has it all going on. She can match your face shape to cut and color and make the perfect you. ANYWAY---we were both using Dove and loved it. She said STOP you love it because there is wax in it!! No more for us. We went back to Pantene.

I have found that Nexus, for a brand sold in stores, to be one of the best. I still use Netrogena Clear to remove excess buildup especially before coloring my hair.

I use Pantene Pro V and believe it is the best. I have never used any of the ones listed as bad and have never heard of most of them. I believe once you find a good shampoo for your hair, and all hair is not the same, you should stick with that one.

First of all, TIGI Bed Head products are actually a professional shampoo that the big chain stores have pirated to put on their shelves. These are silicone based products!!! They just coat your hair!!! If you are really using a good quality shampoo, you NEVER have to switch brands!!! They never quit working like they are supposed to!! They do not just "coat" your hair. They are actually working from the scalp down to make your hair healthy. Didn't you every wonder why you have to switch products every so often?! Biolage is my personal favorite....I have used it since 1998, Which is also the same year I became a licensed Cosmetologist....

I have talked to professional stylists many times about drugstore shampoos and they are no good. Especially Pantene. It's supposed to be one of the worst. I would never use it. The reason it makes your hair feel so soft is because of the wax in it. I stick with professional products like Redken. My favorite line ever.

I went to buy shampoo the a couple of weeks ago and the store I went to did not carry the brand I use. I went ahead and decided to just grab something Cheap. I grabbed a bottle of Herbal essences color me happy shampoo and a bottle of the conditioner. So here is the wow part. I went to the salon to get a haircut, I had just washed my hair so there was no need to wash at salon. The woman cutting my hair said I just love the smell of your shampoo it must be nexus I use it to. hahaha jokes on her she couldn't believe it when I told her what I was using. While she was finishing up my hair the stylist next to her starts raving about how shiny and silky my hair looked. What brand am I using she thought I was using a salon product. Again jokes on her. So at this point everyone in the salon wanted to know what I had been using. So ladies you want salon performance with little money Herbal Essences color me happy with acai berries go get it. I won't be going back to my other brand that's for sure. ;)

I need help! I have very very fine hair, I don't color or blow dry, and it's just straight and long. But the apt I moved in to has hard water, and i can't get a water softener! I have tried 5 different shampoo/cond., only to see most of them on the 'Worst' list!! I don't mind flat hair--it's so long it's going to be flat-- I just want my strong soft shiny hair back!! I would like to add a few more words about this. My daughter has hair down to her waist and has a very sensitive scalp. We have tried everything on her hair, starting with professional salon products and they either broke her scalp out or made her hair tangled and completely unmanageable. The only things that she is able to use is Head and Shoulders for sensitive scalps it doesn't make her scalp break out and makes her hair look healthy. She also occasionally uses my Pantene which doesn't bother her either. I am sorry but we have never had any luck with professional salon products and I have looked at the price of Paul mitchell in Wal0Mart salons and they are still expensive and don't work. My friend is a professional stylist and she uses Pantene products on her own hair over salon products.

From years of personal experience Pantene products are probably the best with Aussie coming in at second. To MDDarden, not everyone can afford "professional" products. I have used some of the "professional" products in the past like Paul Mitchell, Biolage and Euphora. Paul Mitchell always made my hair feel like I never washed it, Biolage made my way too oily and Euphora which is suppose to be all-natural an so wonderful and healthy for your hair made my scalp, face and neck break-out and itch.

i am a professional stylist and in my professional opinion i would say that i cant recommend any of the these products. the only reason that make hair feel soft and silky is because they form a wax coating on the hair shaft and give the illusion of soft and silkiness. i would recommend using a professional product such as Paul Mitchell because they offer several lines of hair care products that will fit anyones budget and needs. they are even available in the salons inside of Walmart. you get can any better than that when people are pinching pennies and shopping there on a tight budget. they are affordable and of course PROFESSIONAL. they even have a guarantee printed on the bottle that is only guaranteed if sold by a salon professional. dont sell yourself short when it comes to your hair! professional products will give your professional results.

i;m a gm stocker for a major store and i have to add everynight i stock close to 40 bottles of just this product so that tells me it is a hot selling item compare to the rest of their products the rest of the line sales good also, bu the number one sale at the store i stock is pantene ice shine (avg stock per night is around 48 to 60) of that brand i was shock not to see it rated on here with the all the pantene products i must admit though when we have a sale on some other products that is not mention at all in this article that they will out sale all of them but the two products i mention even without the sale prices still holds its own in selling.. i will save this article to print off for reference because i get ask 2-4 times a night about the products and this will help me to direct them to a great shampoo that they need for their type of hair.
