Clairol Perfect 10 The term "groundbreaking" gets thrown around a lot but Clairol's new Perfect 10 formula actually seems to live up to it, according to consumer reviews. The AminoGlycine formula colors hair at a lower pH than other dyes (pH 9 vs. pH10 or 11), which means it's less damaging on hair and the color lasts longer. "I can't wait until they bring this technology to salon -- it puts salon color to shame," says Jason Backe, master colorist at Ted Gibson Salon and color director for Clairol.
