Heart (part 2)Makeup mission: To draw focus away from your prominent chin and cheekbones.
Makeup dos: To soften your look as Jennifer Love Hewitt has done here, try "sheer, soft tones," suggests makeup artist Nick Barose who also likes a "pop of color on mouth and cheeks" to downplay strong cheekbones. And, to help even out your face, apply lip liner to only your bottom lip before applying gloss or lipstick.
Makeup don't: Steer clear of too much blush and, when you do apply it, do so in a circular motion to the apples of your cheeks. You don't want to further define your cheekbones by shadowing beneath them with your blush.
I'll tell you how to decide between heart and diamond. If you can see, heart chins are very pointed, diamonds less defined chin shows a clear difference. Heart is a smooth curved line from chin to hairline, diamond is more chiseled at the ears, creating that effect. Also, diamonds have a wider jawline than forhead, heart's jaw is clearly a lot narrower. My aunty has a heart face and my other has a diamond so it is very easy to differentiate the two. Good luck! :)
I'm somewhere between diamond, oval and square. My jawline is a little narrower than my forehead but then when I smile my face looks square, but my hairline is rounded. I have kinda big cheeks, but... now I'm even more confused!
I have always thought I was a Heart Shape but now that I see the Diamond Shaped facial Shape as well, I am a little Confused. It took me long enough to decide on Heart Shape over Oval for myself, but now im wondering about the Diamond being thrown into the mix...hhhmmm...Heart or ?Diamond?!??
Good makeup tips I didn't know! I'm still a bit confused about the difference between heart- and diamond-shaped faces, but I think it's just the picture.
Thank you for the Oval makeup advice! Usually when Oval shaped faces are mentioned, there is an extremely unhelpful "wear whatever you want" message, which is not really what I want t hear. At least this article has makeup advice.
im wondering has anyone actually ever recieved a free item from this site from participating in any of the things we do on here? im beginning to wonder if this is a huge waste of time.
Wow I had no idea you could find your face shape that way, I've just kind of guessed about mine but I guess I was wrong... however I feel mine changes too much because of weight loss and gain.
One shape that is missing is the pear shape. It is a very common one and should be listed, a narrow forehead and wider at the cheeks with a round chin. Just hold up a pear and see it it fits your shape. I'm a diamond myself. It' s often over looked because most people put it with an oval. But an oval has a wider chin. The goal for everyone is to be an oval. It's considered the best shape to work with. I say be happy with what God gave you.
knowing your face shape is so important. ever since i figured this out, i have changed the way i cut my hair and do my makeup and wear certain things. i look and feel better now lol
Hmm... I think I have a round, full face but if I wasn't so "plump-looking," I think I might be square? This was somewhat helpful but if you're still not certain of your face shape, it won't help much. Ahhhhh! LOL!
To CliniqueLover: does that make you a hearcle? (LOL). I wanted to have a heart shaped face since I was 12 years old, and my best friend had one. I realized how pretty she was and then I hated her.
I'm sure you're quite lovely and distinctive.
