Rogaine, $30

Countless brow experts recommend Rogaine -- the five percent Minoxidil version, applied with a Q-tip -- to help regrow brows. Unlike Latisse, you have to use it twice a day, and it might be six months before you see results. While I personally never had the patience to try it for that long, I know more than one editor who swears by this treatment. Since it's designed to prevent hair loss, it's probably better suited for someone who already has a good amount of hair but wants to hold onto it longer, rather than someone with barely-there brows.

I had the fullest brows, make-up artists wouldn't touch them, they said they were perfect at every angle. I was in a very bad accident and bye bye eyebrows. I have left them alone and let them grow out with hairs sticking out here and way over on the side, etc. I have not read the best picks, yet, but I am intrigued by a trusted reviewer and her comment on generic Minoxidil. I will be sharing my results and preferences.

I used generic Minoxidil for men to grow back my brows. I applied it with a Q-tip every night for 3 months and my brows grew back! The tail ends of my brows never grew until I applied Minoxidil. I strongly recommend using this method and you'll get fuller brows. Of course, I tried very hard to put down the tweezers as well. You have to be diligent in order for this to work. Do it every single night and you won't regret it!

And just FYI- Latisse is perfectly safe for use around the eyes, as it was originally an eye drop for glaucoma dropped directly in the eye. People noticed the side effect of long lashes! Also- no one using latisse has had eye color change, only people using it for glaucoma IN the eye ( and even that is only like 4%). They just had to use those guidelines so it didn't have to go through the years long FDA testing again. :-)

I LOVE Latisse! I use it on my lashes, and brush whatever is left over in the brush through my brows. Have noticed a huge difference in both brows and lashes. Love Love Love.

I am on the borderline for glaucoma and use a prescription eye drop that is similar to Latisse. I have noticed that my eyelashes are much longer than they were before I started the drops. Since my brows are really skimpy I'm going to try the drops on them too. I also take Biotin for my thin hair, that may help also.

Rogaine for men has a higher % minoxidil, so the men's formula may be more effective than the women's rogaine

Wonderful article-I am going to try Rogain on my brows since I have it for my head-didn't know about brow use-sounds good to me-if this doesn't help I will then puchase Talika-they also make a good product-sometimes I even think about any eyebrow implanting-but then I get over it.

Fabulous-I am plagued with the eyebrow and eyelash problem of pure skimpy brows and lashes-I didn't try latisse becasue I have light eyes and the dr. said not to-I tried some of the others with very little benefit-now I will try rogaine because I have it in the house for my hair-stress has caused me to become skimpy on the head-so I will certainly try it on the brows-never would have thought about it until this article-thank you!!!!!

Latisse has the same active ingredient as Lumigan, a medication used IN the eye in order to treat glaucoma. It's very safe for eyelash growth. I've used it for months now and my lashes have doubled in length and are thicker and darker. No side effects for me. It is a prescription product, but I get mine from a reputable online reseller (they have a physician as medical director who legally can prescribe after reviewing a medical history form you fill out). Sorry, I would be too worried that some of these chemicals would get in my eyes if I used them on my eyebrows. I feel the same way about Latisse on lashes.
