Who Won the Battle Against Dry Hair?

We put eight deep conditioners to the test. See which ones left us high and dry

If your hair feels like straw, it may be time to give it some extra TLC with a deep conditioning treatment. Nelson Chan, celebrity stylist and owner of the Nelson J salon in Beverly Hills, Calif., recommends looking for a protein-based product if your hair is fine or prone to breakage, and a moisture-based product if your hair is thick or coarse. We had women of all hair types test an appropriate deep conditioner for two weeks. Check out their results.

I personally love the pro naturals moroccan argan oil hair mask. Brilliant stuff for hair. I use it once a week like some kind of sacred ritual!

I just bought the Neutrogena one, so I'm glad it got a good review! I kind of doubt it will top my all-time favorite deep conditioner though (the Macadamia deep conditioner)!

Hmmm I honestly think the Pro naturals argan oil hair mask is the best for dry hair. It's the only one that actually showed me an improvement!

There are some good suggestions to keep in mind. I might try the Loreal Vive conditioner. I haven't heard of most of the other brands so hopefully I'll remember them my next trip to the store.

I have very fine and thin hair and I color it. I recently went through a bleaching/coloring and so my hair is in that stage where it feels like straw. I have been trying to use home remedies for dry and damaged hair like honey and olive oil. I do keep the Brazilian Deep Conditioning treatment on hand and it works wonders. I've heard that the Moroccan Argan Oil conditioner works wonders too. I have yet to try that particular brand.

My hair is thick and curly and the best product I've used to take care of dryness is Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil Conditioner, my hair is hydrated and healthy now :)
