How To Treat Blackheads

Tips for getting rid of those pesky blackheads

Blackheads are bumps on the surface of your skin that are usually dark brown or black in appearance. They are filled with dead skin cells and oil that clog your pores and most often occur on your nose, forehead and chin. While they can be unsightly, it is pretty easy to treat blackheads and by following these tips and suggestions, you will have clearer skin that is blackhead free in no time.

There are an array of effective home remedies that are used to treat blackheads, and many of the ingredients can be found in your very own kitchen. Warm honey is a great anti-bacterial agent that can be applied to your face and left on for approximately fifteen minutes before washing off. You can also use egg whites and spread on your skin, then wash off after thirty minutes. Or create your own home exfoliating product by mixing lime juice and salt together in a bowl, then scrubbing your face with it. Be sure to spend more time scrubbing the affected areas, in order to thoroughly treat blackheads. You will also want to do a face mask treatment at least one to two times a week, because face masks help pull excess oil from skin, removing blackheads and clearing the skin. Try Origins Clear Improvement mask, an activated charcoal mask designed to clear pores and dissolve impurities.
