Easy Home Remedies For Damaged Hair

Try these at home remedies to rescue damaged hair

Other home remedies for damaged hair include shampooing less often, due to the fact that many over the counter shampoos have a tendency to strip your hair of natural oils, causing your hair to dry out. Try to avoid shampooing your hair every day, and do not comb your hair too aggressively, as this often causes hair to break. Massage your scalp to stimulate the hair follicles, and wrap your hair in a silk scarf when you sleep to protect your hair. Satin pillowcases are great surfaces for your hair when sleeping.

These home remedies for damaged hair are all simple, easy and effective. Not only will you find yourself with healthier hair that is easier to manage but you will save hundreds of dollars on ineffective products that dont work and only cause more damage to your hair.

I read somewhere on this website about honey and olive oil for dry damaged hair. I gage it a try last night and my hair feels so much healthier. I color my hair, bleach it, blow dry, straighten, all the things we are told damage our hair. So I used about 1/4 cup of honey and a couple tablespoons of olive oil. Mix until it has the consistency of thin applesauce. Put on hair, focusing on the dry areas (usually the ends). Leave on for 1-2 hours then rinse with cool water. Now you're hair probably wont feel "silky soft " but you will notice a difference in the texture. Meaning it will feel stronger and just healthier overall. It was an inexpensive salon quality hair mask that I will most likely add to my hair regimen.
