Concealer for Under Eye Circles

Cover your dark circles with these best concealers

Our readers from ages 25-30 have asked us via our message boards for some tips on how to conceal dark under eye circles. For example, one frustrated women is at a loss because she gets eight hours of sleep, eats right and has tried nearly every eye cream known to man, yet is not seeing results. So we asked a plastic surgeon, dermatologist, as well as skincare and makeup gurus to weigh in. Here are some expert tips and the best concealers for under eye circles:

If you're having trouble getting rid of dark circles, learn to properly apply under eye circles concealer. Makeup artist, Patty Bunch, says instead of globbing on a ton of concealer for under eye circles, combine a light, moisturizing concealer like Neutrogena Skin Soothing Undereye Corrector, $9.55 with your lotion so that it doesn't look so dry and caked on.

If your under eye circles are really exaggerated, treat them with something like Olay Definity Illuminating Eye Treatment, $29.99, then on top of that mix your moisturizer with the best concealer for under eye circles that you can find such as the balm TimeBalm Concealer, $17. Makeup maven, Fiona Stiles also suggests trying a concealer with a bit of shimmer under the eye to hide dark circles -- try YSL Touche Eclat, $40.

This is a great story...I use the Tarte Maracuja Waterproof Concealer under my eyes, and it is the first product I have ever tried that actually covered my dark circles and stayed put all day...

Excellent article! Several of the products mentioned are very inexpensive . . . but I recommend - and for me, it is the Gold Standard of Inexpensive Concealers - Maybelline's Age Rewind. Fabulous. The only one that works for me!

If you have circles like mine, which are caused from having skin so pale that you can see the veins under my eyes, a treatment is a waste of money. Just use concealer and save your money.

I also have genetic dark circles, and I have tried everything, but nothing has worked so far, not even concealer, because it looks terrible and fake, (sigh) maybe one day we will find an awesome concealer that works.
