Anna Guanche, Board-Certified Dermatologist and Dermatologic Surgeon:

So you've been numbing for a few minutes with this topical numbing cream that I'm going to take off right now. Now, frown, do your frown. So you have a pretty strong frown but you see how the muscles come from all the way back here. So now you were asking me earlier if it's just one injection but it's not.

It's a series of injections. One for this middle muscle that's pulled down and two for the corrugators. They're called corrugators cause they corrugate your forehead. So altogether five little shots, okay?

Alright, I'm going to do some marks on you. And we changed to a very small needle. Turn your head towards me, are you okay? Alright that's your first of five. And then another one. How bad's your pain?

What I do afterwards is I diffuse it upwards, because I want it to diffuse where I want it to go and not leave it to chance. But we still ask you not to lie down for four hours after Botox and not to overheat your body. No vigorous exercise, no hot tub, sauna.

How are you feeling? It's going to take about three to seven days for this anti-aging skin care to take effect and you'll start noticing you won't frown so much. So Kristen, look. It'll look like little bug bites on your forehead. For about 15 minutes it's going to look like little welts and then it'll settle down.

I agree with Erica--do what you need to do to fight aging! I actually have thirty-one (count 'em) Botox injections in my forehead for severe headache pain due to a surgical mistake (it was Prednisone for years and they feared the amount I had received would harm me). The shots are in my forehead, temples, and neck. There is no numbing. What surprised me is that I have a hard time raising my eyebrows--that's how well Botox works to relax nerves!

Seems kinda pointless to remove wrinkles that aren't there yet. Maybe I just don't get it...

OMG!!! Owwwwwwww!!!! That looked soo painful and I've watched other videos of people that got Botox and they said it hurt when it was injected. She must be superwoman!!! I am terrified of needles and can never, ever picture myself getting Botox. I have read articles that say Botox is just an injection that paralyzes the muscles so that they don't move, which causes you to look younger. No thanks!! Lucky for me, I am blessed with great genes and have a youthful looking face anyway. My grandma is 93 and has beautiful skin with very minimal wrinkles so I know that I will most likely look like her when I'm that age (If I make it that long!)
