Hi, I'm Lorenzo from Warren-Tricomi Los Angeles and today we are going to demonstrate three different tricks to make ponytail hairstyles sexier.

So you are going to start off with dry, smooth hair, maybe some natural texture. Take a one-inch barrel curing iron and just add some texture into it. So you are going to want to take vertical sections, long from the top all the way down to the bottom of the head.

You are going to want to go ahead and use a light hold hairspray and just mist the hair. Concentrate on the mid of the hair and just work it through kind of quickly, concentrating on the middle and just barely hitting the ends. Just to add some texture, some softness to the hairstyle. Make sure when you are adding the curl you are feathering the hair back. So you are going to switch direction in the middle of the head. You can maybe tease it a little bit at the base here, just really quick. The whole key to this hairstyle is it's very flirty, soft, really easy to do. If you over think it or overwork the hair, it's just going to look too polished.

So you are going to want to take a small elastic and throw it up quickly. Now, one of the tricks for the sexier ponytail is to keep it not so high. So it's less cheerleader and more red carpet. Then you can kind of loosen it up with your finger and bring this natural texture in. It's not too contrived so you are just going to keep it soft.

Then you are just going to take a small ribbon of hair and wrap it around quickly. Not too tight, just so it has some good coverage in there, and then secure that with a pin. You can use a larger one so that it holds but just make sure you get all that hair. You are just going to want to hit it with a light hold hairspray and just mist it throughout. And there you have your sexy ponytail hairstyle.

It looked a little too messy, he should have tamed the hairs sticking out on her head, that would've helped make the look a bit more polished.

I like that the curling iron adds a bit of volume and texture, but was still kind of disappointed because this video is so basic.

Looks messier. Even my ponytail when I wake up in the morning looks sexier than this.:-) Sometimes I wrap some hair around the ponytail to give a nice look. Was happy to see that in the video.

I understand the comments about the models hair but I think the point was if you use a curlng iron slightly on the ends it makes it to wear it doesn't have that just blow dry look, like dry the curl makes it look a little softer, her hair was thin I think this would look a lot cuter with thick hair though

i agree with lisa2683. I can cut all these steps and just put it into a regular messy ponytail and get this look. good to know that the look is acceptable tho ;P
