Eye Makeup: Five Brow Mistakes You Can Turn Around Fast
Tweeze cleaner, more perfectly shaped eyebrows with our rehab plan
Transcript
First mistake: Over plucking. Many people remove too many hairs at once. Instead, draw a line to use as a point of context. Take away hairs only one row at a time above this line rather than in groups. This helps you not to over pluck.
Next mistake: Being misled by the term brow shaping. You don't really want to change the shape, just enhance it. Start by finding your brows' natural highpoint. That's the spot right here above the outer corner of your iris. If it's higher than the rest of your brow, remove a few hairs underneath to emphasize the arch. If your arch is in line with the rest of your brow, skip this step.
Next mistake: Pulling the wrong direction. Grab the hair close to the skin and give it a gentle, quick tug in the direction of natural hair growth. Tweezing against hair growth damages the follicle causing it to regrow in the wrong direction.
Next mistake: Long hairs. Brush brows directly up with an eyebrow brush and trim the long ends with scissors. Even perfectly shaped brows can look bushy when hairs are too long, which can lead you to over pluck.
And the final mistake: Color. It's too easy to overfill with eye makeup, like a pencil, so go with a powder instead. The trick is to pick the right shade so choose a powder that's one shade lighter than your eyebrow color -- not darker. Use short, feathery strokes with a small angled brush to blend the eye makeup into the strands of hair.

I don't really like doing my own eyebrows, I go get it threaded from time to time.

I like how they barely plucked any hairs, that's why when I see pictures of myself when I was younger I notice that my eyebrows look a lot better when they are full and not overplucked so now I am leaving them alone and they are looking better!

It's easy to get carried away when plucking. Powder brow filler is the best way to correct it.
