  If you're looking for a clean, matte, and all around powder foundation, this may be right for you. I've had days when I've had really dry skin and days when my skin is overly oily and this would be a good fit. I usually use MAC StudioFix Powder which is another love of mine but when my shade wasn't available, I went to th...is. This is very versatile, buildable, and not overly thickening which reduces the look of a mask. It also reduces shine. The great aspect about the Shiseido line is that there are yellow undertones in their make up which about 90-95% of all ethnic backgrounds really need. They are lacking the more darker tones so this wouldn't be suitable for highly pigmented skin so the range would be from porcelain to olive skin. The applicator is also a sponge so it can be easily washed to avoid bacteria, it's in a sleek dark shell shaped compact, with a separate compartment for the sponge itself. This is a lovely addition to your makeup collection and worth the splurge for a good powder foundation. It's finely milled so you don't have to worry about that heavy powder flaky look. I had to update this because I have to say that this is the best way to set a foundation as well because it lasts so long. I just recently have been tanned a bit and 040 is too light and 060 has been to dark. With the latex sponge, I press this 040 foundation powder over the 060 and it matches my complexion to a tee with a beautiful dewy finish. TIP: IF you want a dewy finish to enhance the skin airbrushed look, look for a sheer water spray like Aquafina or Evian and lightly spray this over the powder on the face and you get a great finish.   No Caking

  This is my favorite powder foundation! It is lightweight and doesn't feel like you are wearing anything. It has a semi-matte finish, which I love and light reflecting spheres that make your skin look like porcelain. I always get compliments on my complexion when I am wearing this foundation and it doesn't cause me to break ...out, which almost all foundations do. The downside, color range is limited.   Not Heavy on Face

  I have been using this product for a long time. It is great on your face and it doesn't look caked on either. The shade is a perfect match to my skin tone and because I have sensitive skin it doesn't make my skin red when I wear it. Plus it has SPF! February 16, 2008, 7:56 am

  Light airy feel

  Decent product, not heavy or cakey on my oily, sensitive and acne-prone skin. Also doesn't make me break out. Oil control isn't the best--I start looking shiney after 3-4 hours and have to re-apply 2-3 times throughout the day even with primer. But, the fact that it has SPF and that I've found a close to perfect skin match..., I will most likely re-purchase. December 1, 2007, 3:17 pm

  bad packaging

  I bought Ivory00 b/c I have very fair skin with pink undertones. I was happy with it as a minimal coverage, but every time I tried to build coverage it turned out cakey. Also, the compact was a bit large and never stayed shut- I'd always find the sponge floating around my purse :-p I think it's too expensive for the mediocr...e packaging and ingredients so that is why I will not repurchase.   smooth

  I discovered Shiseido after being diagnosed with a small case of melonoma. Due to the highest SPF coverage I have been able to find in a foundation, it does wonders.   Covers your flaws but very light - highly recommend

  Put it on in the morning, lasts all day! It covers my brown spots but doesn't look cakey or fake at all. It's very light.I have tried to use other brands but nothing like Shiseido's powdery foundation. February 17, 2008, 4:44 pm
