I had just started hearing about the BB creams in all of my magazines. I was super excited to finally try one out for the first time. I got a sample of this one from Clinique and thought that maybe my redness reducing foundation from themt might have a run for its money. I couldn't have been more wrong. The consistency was very thick and did not blend well. It seemed to show every imperfectio...read moren in my skin which I didn't expect. I might give my sample to a friend or family member and see if it could possibly work for them, but I personally wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Very very sad especially from a company as wonderful as Clinique

Very Thick and Heavy

This was my first BB cream I attempted to wear and it was a disappointing experience. I went to Sephora and one of the employees tried this cream on me. It was very heavy and very thick and although it was not drying or irritating, I would not purchase it, nor recommend it for anyone.

meh

Definitely not one of Clinique's best products. First of all, it is way too thick. I have better luck with it blending it with a moisturizer. Second, it does not have anything in it beneficial for the skin (other than sunscreen). I honestly don't know what they were thinking when they made this. I will try to use it but certainly will never buy this again.

Subpar performance

I am so disappointed with this product. I had been reading about BB creams and really wanted to try one out. The idea of using just one product really appealed to me so I decided to try it out. The color selection is not great at all. They only have a few shades to choose from. I decided to go with a medium shade. The consistency of this is really thick. I know thats how BB creams are supposed to ...read morebe but this one just seemed tacky like. The coverage was horrible. I've had tinted moisturizers that cover better. I put it on and waited a few minutes for it to set. It never really did. It just kind of sits on your face without soaking in. It left a really unattractive shine. I tried blotting papers but they didn't help. Then I tried to set it with powder and it seemed to look worse. By this time I would have finished my normal face routine, so much for saving time.. I tried it for 3 days. No luck. Just looked like my skin with a shiny residue on it. Then I thought to use it as a primer and the last few days it seems to work much better. I did notice I had a small breakout but I'm not 100% sure it was the BB cream or the Payday bar I had as a snack at work (peanuts make me break out BAD) I suppose I will use it as a primer until I finish it. At least it has SPF 30. Thats the main reason for the 3 stars. I really wished I could have loved it because I have loved a lot of Clinique products but this one is a no-go. I would not recommend to anyone. $42 down the drain. Boo.

Disappointing

I initially bought the lightest color, OMG I looked like a pasty ghost, so I returned it for the next darkest shade. It's a good match. However, it's very thick and very hard to apply, it doesn't blend well, so it you use too little and want to apply more, you can't blend it, if you use too much--- ugh! You basically have to rewash your face and start over. As noted by another viewer, it set...read moretles in every pore! I was going to try to blend it with some moisturizer and see what happens. Basically at this point, to acheive a good look, I need to apply 1) Primer 2) BB cream mixed with some moisturizer 3) mineral powder to set ... What's the point? Buyer beware.

Too Shiny, but Good Coverage and Staying Power

Pros: SPF 30; fuller coverage so no need for spot corrector; full-day staying power; comes in four shades for better skin match. Itchy and it burns

I have super sensitive skin on my face and I hate wearing sunscreen or heavy makeup. However, I am also in the sun a lot and therefore I require an adequate source of sun protection, so I thought I would try this. Big mistake! Not only did this hardly provide any coverage (I might as well have not even been wearing make up), but it also made my face itch and burn. Additionally, it smelled funk...read morey, did not spread/blend well, and it made me break out. The colors offered tend to be really orangy or reddish pink in hue, which is totally unhelpful for someone who has a really red skin tone to begin with. The BB cream did not wear well, coming off within an hour after I initially applied it and getting on my cloths, staining my favorite sweater. In my opinion, this product is a dud.

Perfect...but, then the breakouts

I'm ridiculously pale most foundations clash terribly with my skin. But this BB cream worked wonderfully, it didn't cake like so many others, didn't over dry my skin, the sheerness made everything appear matte yet natural. Unfortunately even with proper cleansing the BB cream has succeeded in causing me to breakout and irritate my skin. BB creams are supposed to be break from all that. The search continues.

Great as a light weight foundation...

I have ultra dry skin, so I can't wear this on its own. However, on top of a moisturizer with about a pea size buffed into the skin, it evens out any old acne scars and doesn't cling to any dry patches. It looks like I am not wearing makeup at all! I know this can be controversial as a BB Cream, but it really does wonders for my skin.

Clinique BB cream

I just tried it for the first time this morning and I loved it! The key is to not use too much--use about a pea-sized amount for each part of your face. It really covered up my acne scars! :)
