Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation in Ivory
With a thick mousse consistency, you would suspect it would be cakey on the face but I never experienced that. It has medium coverage with a matte finish but I think using a damp Beauty Blender, you can create a more natural look with a lesser matte finish. I experienced no shine and no break outs from this foundation and my skin is normally oily in the t-zone area and I'm prone to breakouts. *I RECEIVED THIS PRODUCT FROM TOTAL BEAUTY FOR TESTING PURPOSES* I'm surprised at how much I like this product. The coverage was good, but it still looked natural. I wouldn't say that it stayed matte any longer than any of my other foundations, My skin had about the same amount of oil as usual. The big downside for me is that the StayMatte powder has acne causing ingredients in it, and this probably does to, so I won't use it often. Okay well I am so excited to talk about this product. I have sensitive skin that gets oily, especially in my T-Zone. I also am prone to breakouts. I have used other liquid foundations from Maybelline, CoverGirl, and Revlon. NOTHING works as good as this right here! It lasted me a good 6 hours (or more before I wanted to take it off). It was very smooth to apply. The texture was more of a cream typ...read moree texture, similar to a thick lotion. That made it less drippy and stuff. The matte effect was absolutely amazing. Ok, I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised! This foundation has blown me away! I wasn't expecting much from a cheaper drugstore foundation but this foundation proved me wrong. It's a medium-full coverage foundation and is easily buildable. It has a whipped mousse consistency which allows for smooth application. I can't say enough good things about this foundation. The only thing that could possibly make it better would be to have an SPF benefit added. Too Matte For Me
Although this was a very nice, fuller coverage foundation, I'm afraid it was a little too matte for me. I have combination skin in the colder months. My T-Zone remains oily, but my cheeks often have dry patches. This worked wonders on my oily nose and forehead, but it did cling a little bit to the dry patches on my cheeks. I got this product in "Soft beige", and the color matched my skin perfectly, I couldn't even see where I smeared it and I had to look closely in the mirror before blending - it was that exact. It was super lightweight and I loved the matte effect (a little goes a long way)! I wore it to a wedding and I wasn't shiny by the end of the night, and my face is on the oilier side. My one gripe? Very Matte & Super Blendable
Its been a while since I've worn foundation , and as soon as i applied this foundation it was super easy to blend and blended right into my skin tone. Also, this foundation is very matte and lasts long.
