Very Pretty

I was most anxious to smell this--and I fell for it! I find this floral, soft, and feminine and sensual at the same time. Estee Lauder has created some of the scents I will never live without ("White Linen," for example), and I applaud its new creation!

Okay but not Amazing

I actually like the muskier, deeper scents but unfortunately I was not blown away by this perfume. It was only all right and not offensive. I would not spend the huge amounts of money but I have never been really impressed many of Estee Lauder perfumes because they seem much too strong and scents preferred by older women.

Not My Muse

Estee Lauder is very clearly trying to capture a new younger market with its newest fragrance, Modern Muse. The bottle is sleek, chic, and topped with a bow. Even the model, Miss Arizona Muse, breathes nothing but youthful elegance. Their newest fragrance has what they call a "dual impression" formula. All jokes aside, one of the impressions is full of jasmine, honeysuckle, and other pretty white flowers. The other impression is more woodsy with warm notes like amber and sandalwood. The theory behind this fragrance is that your body chemistry will cause this to smell way different than mine. But the problem is, my body chemistry just didn't like it. It faded quickly on my skin and left the slightest hint of flowers behind. Most of the people who have tried it really love the woodsier notes of it. I guess I just really don't get the same feel from it. You have to try it on--you can't just give it a whiff. Not to mention wear it around a while. It changes on your skin like crazy! But give it a chance and maybe you'll have a new muse.

FOUND YOU!

I smelled this while flipping through a magazine and knowing me I would like it just because of how pretty it is, I ended up loving it for the smell though! When I sniffed it was like an AHHHHHHHH moment, complete with a chorus fade out. It smells light and flowery to me and it lasts SOOOOO LONG! I couldn't help walking throughout my day sniffing my wrists and my shirt, I was taking deep WHIFFS of...read more the stuff, so deep I got lightheaded (even though I don't like to admit doing that every once in a while with my favorite fragrances). I can't exactly pin point what it reminds me of but it gives me a really good feeling, if that makes scents (get it?..scents?...Don't laugh at me!!) I don't have the money to get a bottle though so this love affair will have to wait a bit, But I love the smell , it's sweet, flowery and soft, light and when it wears off a bit, mixes in with my own natural smell it's deep, sensual , but still feels free and soft I don't know I love it but of course I would recommend sampling first. (hint: I got it from my glamour magazine the one with Kerry Washington on it if I'm not mistaken)
