Very Light! Has A Soft Finish!
I recently purchased this in my local outlet store and I am ABSOLUTLEY amazed. I was always the type that had never purchased Revlon Cosmetics before because I couldn't find the right shade for my complexion or they didn't have the "exact" color that I needed, so I will have to "customize" my own shade with other makeup foundations that I have. When I seen that it was for any skin type, that's wh...read moreen I started to get a little skeptical. When I started to use this for the first time, I was immediately SHOCKED. Because, I will do my regular skincare facial first, next I will apply a little Milk Of Magnesia mixed with my moisturizer (a little goes a LONG way when mixing these two together), then I will apply the Revlon's Botafirm Foundation, and so on. I tested this product out through the day while I was out running errands and I was completely satisfied of the fact that it didn't give me a cakey feel on my face, no creasing under the eye, and no running or slip of the foundation. Favorite light coverage foundation right now.
I've been using this for about 2 weeks now. At first I wasn't sure about it, the coverage is very light. Now that I've been using it for a little while, I've come to like it. I think I just had to experiment with application methods (for me stippling works best). Details: It smells weird, almost like something old mixed with something nutty? I can't place it. It's not horrible but if you're reall...read morey particular about scent, you might not like that. The coverage is light but buildable and dries to a nice dewy finish, great for aging skin. It's lighter coverage than ColorStay even though it is thicker. Because of it's thick consistency, it's a little hard to get out of the bottle, but I don't waste as much product as I do with ColorStay, which comes out too fast. The lightest shade of Fresh Ivory is a good match for my neutral and very fair skin even though it looks dark in the bottle. (ColorStay tends to run a little pink on me in the lightest shade of Ivory.) It doesn't settle into my fine lines at all! Love that. It does last all day on me with a primer. No oxidation orange face. I'm not sure about paralyzing my expression lines, or whatever it's supposed to do, but because there is no settling into lines, it does give me a much smoother appearance.
