Difficult formula to work with :(

I saw this recommended on Beautypedia, and I have such oily eyelids and skin that I thought that maybe I should try a really good waterproof formula to see if that would help the mascara "smudging" from the oil on my skin. This one came highly recommended, but as far as mascaras go, and even waterproof, it misses the mark in several areas. First, those annoying "little black dots" that can appear at the very tip of each lash were bountiful. I normally apply 2-3 coats when applying mascara, and with this one, 3 starts to give a spidery, crunchy appearance. I don't normally go for a "natural" looking mascara (I love some good volume!) and this one is definitely not natural (unless you do a very minimal first coat) looking, but after those few coats, it really gets over the top. While the mascara is waterproof (I have taken showers and washed my hair over the tub with this mascara on and no running) it does flake (albeit minimally, but still) and the formula can smudge during the application process if you aren't careful. Overall, I will be trying another formulation to see if it works better.

My Daily Go To! But Needs A New Brush Pronto!

I seriously picked up this mascara because I thought the packaging was very pretty. But, I'm still very glad I did in the first place! The waterproof version of this mascara is most definitely a lot less flakey than the non-waterproof version. It makes my lashes look longer darker, and holds a curl so well throughout the day. Unfortunately, the volume I was hoping for isn't all that noticeable except by me and that's when I'm looking at my lashes closely in the mirror. Don't get me wrong! I have more volume than I did before I applied this mascara, but it just isn't that much more noticeable. The volume factor might be more prominent on someone who has thinner and lighter lashes than I do! Formula aside, I think this mascara could REALLY do with a new brush. The built in one has a tendency to pick up a load of product on one side, but barely any on the other. I end up with clumpy and spidery lashes if I don't roll my brush while brushing through, or I have to go over with a new mascara brush afterwards. Not pretty. Fortunately, just a simple twist of the brush makes brushing out those clumps super easy. But, I really hate to guess which side of the brush I should use or have to wipe all the product onto a tissue every time I want to apply mascara! It should be a no brainer! I store my mascara upright too, so it can't be the formula gathering all on one side of the tube, either. Nonetheless, I love this mascara for every day looks. The formula really cant't be beat for something I paid from the drugstore, so I highly recommend it (yes, even those who are packaging suckers like me) for everyone to try out!

Okay

I like this mascara for darkening my lashes before applying falsies. However, it doesn't add much length or volume, just darkens up what's already there. It didn't flake or come off, but it was super difficult to remove with cold cream.

This flaked so bad on me. Maybe it was just a bad one but it looked like I'd cried and it was not pretty

LOVE

This mascara blew me away! I have spent a lot of money on mascaras before, but this one tops them all. All I need is one swipe on each eye for a day-to-day look, or I can add more for a bolder look. Can't imagine using anything else!

My new fave

I have this in non-waterproof. The brush MAKES this mascara. With just one coat my lashes look much bigger. I have heard about mascara that makes your lashes look false and this is the one. I love it hot easily it goes on the lower lashes too.

good formula, horrible brush.

This was a very voluminous mascara and it gave pretty good length. But only if you were careful, it can get very clumpy and messy. It has wet formula which can get everywhere, and I really didn't like the brush. It bent awkwardly making it difficult to get to the lashes without getting everywhere. the formula is decently long lasting and doesn't flake or smudge, but the brush was frustrating to work with.

def not my favorite. its definitely waterproof but if you apply more than one or 2 coats to your lashes it gets kinda spidery and clumpy looking.
