Great Concealer

A friend sent this to me, and I had no idea what it was meant for, just that it was a light enough shade that it would work as a concealer for me. This...read more makes for a nice combination of application and blending for a more natural look than if I went straight from pencil to face. I put it on after BB cream and before powder and end up with a really great look that lasts. I think this pencil will last a long time, but when it does run out, I would definitely buy another one!

Good as a concealer but....

They advertised this as an eye brightener for your waterline but it's not soft enough to go on your waterline. I tried to apply it to my waterline but there was no color deposit. The pencil was too hard and wouldn't adhere to my waterline. I recommend using this as a concealer or lip liner instead.

Wonder Pencil

I have this in both the light and medium shades. I initially picked up the medium to use and a waterliner to brighten up my eyes, but it was a bit dark for that so I ended up picking up the light shade and it worked out well for that. Not wanting to waste my other pencil, I decided to give it a try as a concealer and I love it. It matched my skin perfectly and covers up and dark and red marks. It is quite creamy so it blends very nicely and looks natural. I also like using the medium to clean up around the lip line when I'm wearing bold lip colors. I wouldn't recommend these for very dark girls as the darkest shade available looks closer to tan than dark. I do hope NYX expands the color range on these. Oh, I would also recommend having separate pencils for eyes, face, and lips or at least sharpening your pencils between moving between the three for hygenic reasons.

I saw the NYX Wonder Pencil in one of my local beauty supplies and its advertisement showed 3 pictures: the pencil covering frecklage(freckles) , lining the water line , and lastly lining the lips. I was intrigued and out of the 3 shades available (Light/Medium/ Dark) I opted for the DARK to try it out. The Dark is perfect for tanned/ lighter-caramel skin tones). I bought this pencil to conceal any facial flaws, such as hyper-pigmented/red marks that have not quite faded yet. It is a traditional make-up pencil with a clear cap that can be sharpened using any pencil sharpener. Although I bought this for one purpose to CONCEAL –which it does a wonderful job at- I love the versatility this pencil provides. The formula is smooth, provides full coverage over small spots (if using for concealing purposes), and blends well with foundation. I paid $5 for this pencil and it is quite long-lasting for me because I don’t use it daily. So, it’s definitely cost-effective. I definitely say give it a try!

Wonderful for your waterline, so/so for concealer.

I have this "Light". I have no problems getting color onto my waterline, and it's a nice alternative to making your eyes look bigger than a harsh, white liner. For a concealer, I'm not really impressed. However, it's also nice to highlight your cupid's bow and under the eyebrow for a pretty lift!
