    Good in concept...

Very cool idea, right?! But poor execution. Here's the thing: the trick to long lasting, chip free nail color is thin layers, right? Problem is, for this color to work, you need to apply a thick, thick coat. It chips right away! And I don't have a very hard-on-the-nails job; I'm a therapist! Usually my polish lasts AT LEAST 3 days at the very worst. This stuff chipped the next morning. Fail. It morere looked cool for the first few hours, though, so I might use it for a special occasion if it matched an outfit well. — 1 year, 3 months ago

    Wonderful Effect

Love it! The magnet gives a great pattern to the nails. I was slightly skeptical that it would work and thought that otherwise it would have a nice colour, but it really does! I kept picking at the ridge on the cap tinking it held some cover over the magnet that got lost, but soon found out it's to rest on your finger while the magnet does its work! The second coat needs to be fairly thick for mores to give the desired effect, but you also have to be carfeul about letting the magnet touch your wet nails. I've ruined them so many times by doing just that! When the magnet it over your nail, you can actually feel it working and moving the polish into th wavy pattern, which is kind of a strange sensation. If you like patterns or desings on your nail, I highly recommend it! — 1 year, 11 months ago

    Awesome Nail Effects!

I bought this when I saw it in clearance at Walmart,, in the shade "Graphite Gravity". I love the color, and the magnetic effect really works to create the wavy pattern. Many people had bad experiences with it, saying that it's only a waste of money, but the trick is, make sure to apply a heavy second coat. I first applied some clear nail polish and let it dry. Then I applied one normal layer of morehis polish and let it dry. After that, I applied a thick second coat, and immediately held the provided magnet over the nail surface for 30 seconds. The second layer needs to be thick so that there is enough amount of polish for the magnetic waves to play with and move around to create the pattern. Don't bother wiping the brush inside the nail polish bottle for the second coat like you would normally. Just draw out the brush and carefully paint it on your nails. Also, be sure to immediately hold the magnet over the nail after this (making sure that your nails do not touch the magnet, there should be a tiny amount of space between). If you notice, the mail polish cap also has a small curved tab sticking out near the magnetic rectangle. This allows you to hold the magnet over your nail with the tab resting on your finger near the nail bed. This is convenient because it makes it a little easier to hold up the magnet, and it adds enough distance between the nail and the magnet so that the wet nail polish doesn't stick on the magnet. This totally works, I experienced it through trial and error. I don't like how the price is $8.97 per bottle, which is why I got it for 3 bucks on clearance. It's probably the magnetic technology due to which it is pricier than OPI or essie. The end result is gorgeous, I wish I could post a picture of my nails now. The nail polish is also good quality. The two coats really didn't end up being that thick and gooey as I heard from some other people. I'm guessing that a third layer might have caused that. Overall, it looks very professionally done, I like the effect, the formula is great, and I highly recommend buying it on clearance! Good luck! — 1 year, 12 months ago
