Not matte
The name of this product is extremely misleading. It's really not matte. It's more of a nice, pretty satin finish, which I don't mind, but I paid 11 dollars for it expecting it to be completely matte. As for all matte topcoats, it's going to shorten the amount of time your nail polish lasts before it starts chipping, so that wasn't a surprise to me. The realy problem I have with it is that it bubbles on me, which I haven't had a problem with ever since I learned how to apply nail polish properly. This has to be applied in 2 VERY thin layers so that you don't end up with bubbles all over your nails. Even though I love the ORLY bottle with the rubber grip, this product disappointed me as a whole, and wouldn't purchase this again.
