Good, Not Great
This is a good eye cream. I like the packaging and the cooling tip. The tube helps to keep it sanitary. The only problem I had was that it would never sink in all the way. Sometimes even in the morning it is still sitting on top of the skin. My eye area is moisturized it just doesn't sink in all the way. Great for a night eye cream!
I have not used Mary Kay products in a long time. The packaging on this eye cream was very pretty and easy to use. The cooling metal applicator was much nicer and fit your eye contours better than some other brand's applicators! I felt no stinging or irritation from this eye product at all! It absorbed into my skin well and left no residues. It did seem to reduce puffiness around my eyes and left ...read moremy skin firmer and soft. The scent was not too strong either! I loved it other than the lack of SPF and how thick it was which caused problems with day time wear and cosmetics. If you are looking for a night eye cream I would try this! Mixed feelings
I was so excited to receive this product to review and very hopeful for results. I applied it as directed. I loved the cooling sensation of the metal tip but I did not notice any change, immediately or gradually. It did start to irritate the skin under my eyes and I noticed a small amount of redness and flaking. I must say that this has happened while using similar products under different brand...read mores. I wake up with bags under my eyes that usually deflate during the day. I found no difference during the use f the product. Perfect accessory
I've tried countless under-eye treatments, but this one really showed that it could improve some of my problem areas. I loved the sleek packaging, the cool color, and the creaminess of the product. In addition, the metal tip was an added bonus for the product. Greasy and gimmicky
First I have to be transparent. I received this product for free in exchange for a review here on this website. My review is my own opinion and not based on the fact that it was given to me at no cost. The packaging is pretty. A lilac colored plastic tube with a metal cap. The applicator looks chrome but the literature calls it zamac metal. Claims it will "help stimulate microcirculation a...read mores it gently massages the under eye to help reduce puffiness and provide a fresh, cooling effect." It is cooling, at first. But it quickly warms up, so I find it difficult to believe it actually would help reduce puffy eyes due to this metal applicator. The applicator itself is wide, measuring 1/2 inch across. I found that it tended to pull at the skin a bit until the cream was spread out. There is just one hole in the center of the applicator tip for the cream to dispense. I have seen this type of tip used on other eye creams though this is the first product which sports this applicator type that I personally have tried. I have to say, it seems a bit gimmicky. I'd like to see some data on the "stimulating microcirculation" claims. Beyond the applicator, I found the cream itself to be on the greasy side and I have dry skin around my eyes. I would not use this during the day or when I would be wearing any eye makeup. Disastrous! Mascara massacre! It did make my undereyes look dewy and not dry, but once it was washed off, there was no lasting effect in regards to dryness. The product has a very very light fragrance which most people, myself included, appreciate in an eye cream. There is something in the cream that does make the areas where this is applied a bit sensitive. When I pat the product in with my fingertip the skin feels ever so slightly sore. I think I will continue to use the tube I received and see how it goes. TB is giving me a deadline to complete this review so this is how I feel about the product at the moment. Mary Kay website lists this product at $40. Way too steep. Maybe $30. Maybe. But I have an eye cream I adore and sells for less than this one. Love this applicator!
I don't buy Mary Kay all the time but I have tried their product several times and have never been disappointed. I was given the opportunity to try Timewise repair volu-firm eye renewal cream. I was a bit nervous because my eye area is very sensitive and I usually use gels instead of creams. So far, my eye area has done well and I have had no problems using this eye cream. I love the metal applica...read moretor! I wish more companies would do this with their eye products. I notice I use less, which equals less waste because I am using the applicator and putting it right on my skin. I also like that it hasn't caused any stinging or pain around my eye area. The only reason I don't give this product 10 stars is because I still have to use my fingers to rub it in. But this really isn't that big of deal to me. I've used this for a month now and notice a small difference in my eye area. I want to give it even more time to see if it reduces wrinkles because with my skin, it takes awhile to know for sure. clever product
I received a full size sample of this (thanks total beauty) and had the opportunity to use it for about a month. I was impressed with the metal applicator tip- I've seen lots of new products with this feature and must say it is clever- cooling effect is great for puffiness. Consistency was good- not too runny but not like a thick balm either, moisturizing serum. I expected more.
The Mary Kay eye cream claims to eliminate a lot of symptoms of aging, but I've only noticed an improvement in my puffiness, eye bags, and crepiness. I don't have wrinkles in my eye area so I can't comment much on that. Dark circles were my main concern and the product did not improve them at all. I did love the applicator.. it helped contour and massage the eye area. The cooling touch really helped with the puffiness but I did wish the cool feeling would last longer but it warms up quickly after using it on one eye. The tube size is great and I don't need to squeeze a whole lot for application. It would probably last me for a year. I was excited when total beauty sent me this to review because from my experience Mary Kay products are usually top of the line. I'll start with the good: I love love the cool sensation the metal applicator gives when applying the product and the shape of the applicator makes it super easy to use and dispenses the perfect amount of product. But after using this every night for the past month I h...read moreaven't really noticed a difference the apperance of my eyes and my dark circles didn't go anywhere. (I have dark circles, but not so much lines as i'm 26). The directions state to use morning and night - there is no way you can use this during the day and apply makeup. The consistency of the product leaves a slight heavy/oily feeling and any concealer or foundation on top of this would make your make-up run down your face. nice product by mary kay!
I was given this product to review and I was impressed. I have been using it mostly every day for the past couple weeks and can see a visible difference in the puffiness of my eyes.
