Smells a bit funky... but absorbs oil well!
The very first thing I would say is the scent. It is a very strong chemical scent that I do not find pleasant and so if there was one reason as to not to try this product, it's because of that strong scent. I shook the product well before application as according to the directions on the back. Although, the instructions goes on to say during application as well and I can't imagine how I can shake the product while applying, I suppose that would mean to shake the product around my head. I did spray it about 9 inches away, or rather my best estimate of nine inches and ran my fingers through my hair to remove the excess powder. When I spray the dry shampoo on, it's an almost a feel of rush of air that's pushed on my hair. Before i know it, the scent overwhelms my senses. However, I'm lucky to say that within about 10 minutes, the scent does dissipate (or my nose grew accustomed to the strange scent). It claims that the keratin influsion & absorbs oil to refresh hair, extend blowout, and revive volume. For me, it really does absorb excess oil and helps my hair stay more matte. That's really what I'd expect from a dry shampoo, to help absorb oil and keep my hair refreshed inbetween my hair washes for when I do use regular shampoo and conditioner. My hair does feel smooth and manageable, so that's a plus! I'd just wish the scent was better. On the front, under SALON PROVEN, it states "TO REFRESH AS WELL AS BUMBLE AND BUMBLE". I'm not quite sure what that is suppose to mean. I really think I'm going to have to rate this an 8/10. I can't quite compare it to other dry shampoos since this is the very first dry shampoo that I've used but it's relatively inexpensive. Pretty good!
I received this one in the mail to review, and I am liking it tons. I was really excited to try this dry shampoo because I had always wanted to try dry shampoo but I was always too hesitant to buy it. I did not know what to expect from this one, but it gave me a nice surprise. This dry shampoo is supposed to absorb oil and extend the life of your blowout. I think it does what it says. My hair is curly and dry and it does get oily on the roots area. Having these problems, I only wash my hair every other day, or about 3 times a week. Dry shampoo is perfect for the days that I don't wash my hair. I love it! It's affordable, and the smell is quite pleasant after a few minutes of being on the hair. It also leaves your hair soft and manageable (I am guessing is probably the keratin in it that makes your hair soft) If you apply too much it can have some residue left, so only apply enough to cover the hair all around, not tons, because it can be drying. Great for the price
This is a very nice dry shampoo to freshen up the hair in between washes. I have long dark hair, and I haven't noticed any sort of white residue on my hair after using this shampoo. What I didn't like was the smell- it is very strong, and it is a problem on long hair, cause the smell really sticks. Also, it doesn't really help to add volume. The package is very nice. Pretty bottle, easy to use. Excellent Product!
I received a can of this in the mail, and when I opened it, I caught myself wondering I had signed up to do this review--I have a pixie cut! I haven't used a blow dryer in over a year, so there is no blowout to extend. But I was pleasantly surprised. I had used the Oscar Blandi dry shampoo in the past when I had long hair and it was ok, but it was too difficult to get the white residue to blend in. I did not have that problem at all with this Suave product. Even the first time I used it and accidentally over-applied, it did not leave an icky white residue AT ALL. This turned out to be great for days I was too rushed to shampoo as it does very well with absorbing oil and leftover product. It is also great for occasions when I accidentally put too much product in my hair and don't want to look greasy--this dry shampoo soaks it right up and I'm able to style my hair without looking gross. The scent is also fresh and wonderful and not nearly as strong and overbearing as some other dry shampoos I've tried. Great Dry Shampoo!!
I received a bottle of this in the mail to review and I am really happy with it. It smells great and I actually got a couple extra days out of my blowout. I have dark red hair and it didn't leave any powder of white streaks. Wow! Amazing!
I have to say this product suprised me! I generally don't buy suave products just because its in the dangerously low price range which made me think they skimped on what appear to be expensive ingredients. Suave definately proved me wrong. This product refreshes hair, absorbes oil, lightly infuses with keratin and makes hair overall manageable and soft. I couldn't believe a glorified aerosol can of powder could have so much power and results! I definately felt high quality using this, not like a drug store product. The cherry on top was the fact that I finally stumbled upon a product that flattened my stubborn flyaways! Only took me 23 years, but better late than never! Smells better than it works
I received a full size bottle of this to review. I have fine to medium blonde hair and I try to wash my hair every other day, so I was excited to us it. I will first say that when it comes to hair care, I try to stay away from products. You can find in your local grocery store for a whopping one dollar, I kept an open mind and used the product on clean hair days and oily hair says. My opinion ..dispensed perfectly without leaving a sea of white powder residue in my bathroom, the smell was WONDERFUL. Refreshed my hair with a clean fragrance. However, it was kind of confusing because it made my strands soft but left my hair feeling like I had sprayed a light hairspray all over. My hair was crunchy and it tangled. Perhaps I read the instructions wrong, but it shouldnt be so hard , it's just a dry shampoo. Sucks!!!
I have SUPER curly hair so I typically only wash my hair once or twice a week..... I know...I know ewww. So my life depends on dry shampoo. I tried this kind thinking it would do well with my hair.. -.- GUESS AGAIN!!! It left a gross white film on my hair!! Let alone the smell of it!!! Definitely good for the price
I have a love/hate relationship with dry shampoo. I always feel like I've tried everything in the >$7 range... and there's always something... the smell, the texture, the way I can't get the white powder out of my very dark hair. But I need it, and I can't spend a lot on it. Enter Suave Keratin Infusion. I tried the Suave not-keratin infusion in the past and HATED it. Bad, bad. But I thought I'd try this one since it ran me, oh, $4. Or something. And it's great! Yes, the smell is chemically. I agree with that. But I don't use a ton of it and it gives my hair great lift and body. The spray is fine, so even though I have almost-black hair I NEVER see residue. I'm even comfortable spraying it on clean hair to rough it up a bit. All in all, this is my favorite "cheap" dry shampoo. Great product
