Bath & Body Works Secret Wonderland Eau de Toilette Reviews

My Favorite Perfume
We went into BBW because I wanted him to smell Moonlight Path. Sadly he didn't like it. I was looking around at other stuff and he took me to the Secret Wonderland and said I HAD to buy it. Which by the way is the first time he has ever told me I HAD to buy anything lol. I absolutely love it and received many compliments from coworkers and customers (and I work in a grooming shop- so if people can smell it over the scent of dirty dogs then its not weak) Its sweet and smells almost magical :) I still really love Moonlight Path too. I was hesitant on buying the EDT for this scent, simply because of the higher price tag. ;) But I'm so glad that I finally did it! I spray the EDT on pulse points (behind my ears, on my wrists, and between the girls) at 9 AM, and I still get a delicious whiff of strawberries at 5 PM when I'm coming home! Secret Wonderland is definitely an uplifting scent! Helps one deal with stuck-at-work-blues! :) I noticed that the dry-down is a bit powdery on my skin, but overall very fruity. I was attracted to the lighter scent and enjoyed the lotion and body wash. My last visit the BBW I decided to try the perfume and WOW I was so delighted how well it smelled on my skin. I generally go for the strong scents like Black Amethyst and Dark Kiss but it's so nice to finally find a lighter scent at BBW that I enjoy for those relaxing days. I came into BBW on a whim hoping to find something so I took home three fragrances, PS I love you, Butterfly Flower and Secret Wonderland. After wearing the three on numerous occasions the only one he ever complimented me on how good I smelled was the Secret Wonderland. I thought it might be too sweet for him but he loves it! I'm hooked! I've been liking this scent so much in the spray mist that I had to get it in the gorgeous eau de toilette bottle as well. I am a long time self-proclaimed "fragrance junkie", and yet this is like nothing else (outside of BBW) I've ever smelled before out there on the market. It is that rare blend of clean, sexy, and cozy all at the same time. There's something intoxicating and mysterious about this one. Obviously, you know where I stand from the title. I literally have a ton of fragrances, and my experience with BBW (which has been long-standing, since Sun Ripened Raspberry was the nouveau rage) is that their fragrances are trendy, simple, and forgettable. I was taken aback by a surprise gift of Forever Sunshine (which oddly enough smells like the dry-down of Armani Code!) and that got my attention. In shopping for gifts, I kept returning back to Secret Wonderland as a gift for a girlfriend; something about it really struck a chord as the ideal mix of clean, fresh, but also warm and cozy (which, for me is the HG). I received Twilight Woods as a gift (which reminds me almost entirely of Sensual Amber, just tweaked and re-balanced). Needless to say, in a sniff to sniff comparison, my husband declared "The purple one is WAY better!" Since then I receive nothing but snuggly compliments from him, and curious "what's that yummy smell?" questions from friends. I don't have a problem with staying power at all - I can still smell it the next morning after a light application of lotion + EDT. Scent is obviously up to the sniffer, but for me, this might be THE scent. My new favorite scent at B&BW. Secret Wonderland is a beautifully scented fragrance that has the scent of berries and musky ness. In that aspect it has a similarity to Twilight Woods with a higher smell of berries. The bottle is designed to perfection and makes a great item to put on your perfume tray. I didn't think that I could fall in love with this scent any more, but the EDT proved me wrong. The fragrance mist alone doesn't do this scent justice. It's so light that several of the notes are virtually undetectable. It's difficult to get the "full effect" of the scent with all of the missing notes. The EDT remedies this problem very nicely. There are notes that I can smell in the EDT that I couldn't get even a hint of in the fragrance mist. The rich tartness of the raspberries. The mild sweetness of the vanilla. The soft creaminess of the coconut. The scent of the EDT feels so much more "whole" than the scent of the fragrance mist. Many people are saying that this scent *is* Moonlight Magic. I have to disagree. The two scents are similar; there's no denying that. However, to me, there are some significant differences. I found Moonlight Magic to extremely heavy and musky. I felt that it was "bogged down," if that makes sense. I really wanted to like it, but I found that it gave me a headache. Secret Wonderland, on the other hand, is much fresher. It's crisp, light, and playful. It's more tart and "sparkly." I'd recommend giving this a shot whether or not you liked Moonlight Magic. Coming from someone who disliked Moonlight Magic…I'm glad I tried Secret Wonderland, because I love it! I'm one of those unlucky ladies who has to try a scent on and wear it for a day before I buy it. I've been gifted with a body chemistry that sometimes can take a really great fragrance and make it smell like vomit (seriously!) which is really frustrating. But I have had a passion for pretty perfume bottles since I was first old enough to watch my mother getting ready for a night out. B&BW's Eau de Toilettes have such gorgeous bottles lately too! I was pretty sure I was not going to like Secret Wonderland. The idea of berries and jasmine together—while being scents I like on their own—sounded yucky. But the bottle! Oh, the pretty bottle. So I bought it (and some other Secret Wonderland scented products) hoping I would be surprised to like the fragrance and at worst I could give the offending stuff to my stepdaughter if I didn't like it. While I tend to prefer fragrances with a heavier, more mature overall tone I really love Secret Wonderland. There is a soft, sweetness to it that immediately made me think of words like 'warm' and 'innocent'. The floral notes in it are delicate and for me seemed to dominate the palette while the fruity peachy-berries burned off fast. The sandalwood and amber are there so subtley you'd miss them if you're not familiar with them. As a blend I really like Secret Wonderland for its soft feminine quality. It reminds me of warm, fuzzy pink sweaters and crocheted scarves. Girly and wintery without the flirty sweetness of other scents geared toward teens. While I really enjoy this scent and the bottle is oh-so-pretty—the clear top is a nice touch—the Eau de Toilette doesn't last long. Even layered with the Sensual Swirl Body Lotion it's gone within a couple of hours. I've not had the same problem with other B&BW Eau de Toilette sprays so I can only assume this may be specific to this fragrance or it's my body chemistry being devious. I would recommend this one for a younger fragrance lover or tween. It's girly but not powerfully floral or candy sweet. I've actually planned to purchase this for a tween I need a holiday gift for since purchasing it for myself. In my opinion this is a really pretty scent in a beautiful bottle, just right for a granddaughter or niece this holiday season. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful

Sweet
This perfume is very sweet but a little spicy. It is certainly feminine! It does wear well and lasts quite a while on the body. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

I got this for Christmas bed I love it! I get so many compliments on it and the scent stays pretty well. You don't have to spray yourself every hour. It's one of my favorite scents. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

The BEST Perfume ever!
I have gone through my fair share of perfume, body spray, and the like. Nothing has yet to compare to Bath and Body Works Secret Wonderland. I love the spicy vanilla like scent. It's romantic, flirty and girly. My guy loves it- but most of all I love it! — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful
