Super Natural and Moisturizing,
So I had no idea this product was intended for ethnic hair. I had read glowing reviews about it online and went to target to buy a bottle and it was in the ethnic hair section. Considering i have super straight, fine hair, you would think this would've turned me off. But no. I loved that this product had an all natural ingredient list, that it's cruelty free and eco friendly. Plus, my ends were so damaged and dry i was willing to try anything before having to cut my locks off. Purchasing this with it's conditioning partner was the best shampoo purchase i've ever made outside of a department store! This is truly the most moisturizing shampoo i've ever used. There are two drawbacks for me: one, the scent is very strong and perfumey, not my favorite. and two, it doesn't lather or spread very well which leads to more product use to cover my scalp. After using the matching conditioner, my hair felt kinda weighted down and not very clean, but i was amazed after i blow-dried! My hair was perfectly shiny and smooth, no fly aways and i had amazing volume, with no other products. (I guess that "clean" feeling i got from other types of shamp+cond isn't what my hair really needs?) And at $10 a bottle at Target, this is my new HG hair combo. Shea Moisture you saved my Hair!!!
Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Moisture Retention Shampoo you saved my life! I cut off all my hair back in 2010 in an effort of getting rid of harsh chemical procedures and damaged hair and to restore my self esteem. I hated my hair for while before doing the big chop. Afterwards everything was great! I had short hair an easy routine and spent less money on styling and products. Eventually some of the “natural” things I was using on my hair started to contribute to my adult acne breakouts and there goes a piece of my self esteem again. Eventually after spending countless dollars on products and hours at the salon I tried to find a less expensive alternative. I started to grow my hair out and low and behold more damage to the pockets on the expensive natural products that worked. Right around May of this year a friend recommended that I try Shea moisture products from Target. So I took myself and my hair to good old Target to see what these products were about. I read the reviews here first of course but I was still a little concerned that this would not give me the results I was hoping for. I have really curly hair that gets really tight, brittle and dry if it is not moisturized properly. So the first week I tried the product my hair was very happy with me. I then started using it in conjunction with other products from the line and they work best as a team I strongly recommend this product especially for curly hair. It not only moisturizes but there isn’t anything in it that triggers negative reactions to my skin. Along with this I recommend the conditioner and styling pudding as well. EXCELLENT
I ran across this at CVS. I didn't know it's design for ethnic hair. I decided to tried it after I washed my hair I didn't see any results. Once I hair was dry I saw great results. My hair was soft and shiny. It tamed the frizzy, no more dry hair. My HG Shampoo

Seriously Hydrating
This shampoo is about $10 at Target and I can honestly say it's the most moisturizing drugstore shampoo I have ever tried. (I have tried Dove, Garnier Fructis, Aveda, Organix, Paul Mitchell, TIGI S Factor, Avalon Organics). I have medium-thick long wavy/curly hair that is naturally dry. I really have to baby it to get my hair healthy, soft and shiny. This shampoo has never failed to give me these exact results. It is free of animal testing (one of the main reasons I stopped using brands like Garnier Fructis/Herbal Essences/Dove/Loreal/Aussie/Pantene which all test on animals). It is also free from sulfates, parabens, synthetic fragrances, gluten and MORE (there is a whole list on the bottle). This organic shampoo smells freaking amazing, too. When I was showering with my boyfriend the other week, he actually commented on how good it smelled.
