Super impressed!

This is the first loose mineral foundation I have used in years, and certainly the most economical! I was really looking for something to provide light/light medium coverage for those days where I just don't want to mess with a full face or a "foundation" routine. This was the perfect fit! One of my favorite things about this foundation is (and well, the price!) the fact that I can use it ALL year...read more long; it comes with 4 different shades and I can mix and match as needed, depending on the season. Super cool! No more needing multiple foundations in different colors. :) I would have to agree with another reviewer; this product isn't really meant to give a heavy or full coverage look, and it won't cover acne, discolorations, blemishes, etc. My face has one area of hyperpigmentation that I cover with concealer first, and then apply this, and that is it. For my needs, this works perfectly! I was also surprised at the "oil-control" it offered; I put this in quotes as it did keep oil at bay, but I don't think it controls oil per se. I was still very impressed by this though. I also didn't really see a breakdown around my T-Zone as I can with a liquid foundation. I wouldn't quite give it a 10 as mineral foundations do have their challenges (messy, etc.) but this is a truly excellent option if you are looking for a light coverage mineral foundation. Especially at this price point, I would recommend it in a heart beat!

bad coverage

The coverage was even less than I expected! Plus, the packaging is huge and bulky.

HG foundation

I can see why this foundation has such low ratings because this product is meant for people with little to very little blemishes. Light coverage. I use concealer first and then apply this all over the face with the elf powder brush from their studio line (the flat top brush). I love how there are 4 colors to work with. I recommend the elf makeup setting spray with this or any powder foundation to get rid of any "cakey-ness." The staying power is incredible even if I sweated like crazy. If you need light to light medium coverage, then try this out! I am absolutely IN LOVE!

Good, but not as a foundation

I bought the lightest one to use as a translucent powder to set my liquid make up. Works well, but not at all pigmented enough to use as a foundation. But hey, it's cheap and works amazingly as a setting powder!
