Absolutely the best mineral shadow for $3, in my opinion!
All those who know me, know that I’m truly obsessed with these… I have to really force myself to use anything else… I own all the colours, obviously and there are so many that I love – I’m not going to go into details of all the 26 colors in this review, but I’ll tell you the one I am truly in love with and it’s called “caffeinated”… My hair colour is dark ash blonde, my e...read moreyes are green and I have a very pale complexion. This color is sort of like a mixture of light roast coffee, khaki and bronze… It’s not particularly brown or green or bronze – that’s the beautiful thing about it, and it would complement someone with my complexion immensely. I almost always get complemented when I wear this color. So!! I know a lot of people say that they are messy, but there is a very easy solution in order to avoid the messiness. Just don’t remove the tape all the way. I usually take an “exacto” knife and cut the protective tape in such a way that there are only two little holes left open to distribute the shadow, so that most of it always stays in the jar. Now when it’s time to apply the shadow, don’t load it onto your brush and bring it straight to your eye lid. Put some shadow on your brush and then kind of roll it around a bit to make sure that you got all the excess off (I usually do it in the lid of the container). I can swear to you that I never once had a problem with this shadow getting messy or glitter all over my eyes or anything like that, when using it this way. And by the way, not opening the plastic film all the way trick works for all ELF’s mineral products. There is really no need to deal with any kind of mess – it will last you longer that way, and you’ll be happier using it. I don’t think I need to describe the consistency, because mineral shadows are pretty standard in consistency. Maybe I could say that these shadows are not insanely loose… They actually have kind of a magnetic consistency, if I can say that, which makes them even better and not at all messy, in my opinion… My favourite everyday combination is “elegant” in the corner of my eye and up to the middle of my lid, with “caffeinated” in the outer corner and slightly in the crease… Beautiful colors, amazing pigmentation and effect, and you definitely can’t beat the price!This review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Really impressive stuff!
I am definitely not typically one to enjoy loose powder eye shadows (or any type of loose powder makeup), but this shadow really, really impresses me! A friend passed on a shade called "Royal" and it is a gorgeous, shimmering deep purple color. I am in love. I use them with a primer underneath and I apply just a little at a time so I can blend and build the color as needed, and I don't really have...read more any trouble at all with it being messy or leaving any fallout to be cleaned up after doing my eyes. The color is really easy to blend and it lasts really well throughout the day. By the end of a day, I sometimes see that it has started to rub off my lids, but I put my makeup on before 5:30 am and I'm noticing this rub off at 6 or 6:30 pm, so that's still a really respectable staying power. I got 10 for free when elf had their "spend 30+ and receive 10 mineral eyeshadow for free" deal. These are extremely messy. Apply this before your foundation or use a tissue to protect your skin to avoid major smudging. It's too glittery and sparkly for my taste. nice
I have one of these in elegant. The color is beautiful, and shimmery in a very nice, elegant way. The only way I don't like is that it doesn't last and creases very fast compared to other shadows. I don't have oily lids, and I use primer, and don't have such issue with other eye shadows. A bit of disappointment there, so I'll probably stick to regular stuff in the future. Elf mineral eyeshadow
I bought a couple of these eye shadows, and was unsure how they would be. I tried them and to my surprise, I loved them! The only flaw is that they are messy. Once the powder comes up through the holes it is a pain trying get it back in. I wish they had a way to close those holes when not in use. Not Bad
My sister got these for Christmas and let me use some of them. I really like the shimmery quality they have. It looks really pretty. The pigment is okay, could be better, but of course we are talking about a few dollar product. You will usually get what you pay for. My tips, always use a primer and use this before foundation. This are really pretty colors and they have a TON of color options. They have matte and shimmery shades and are really nicely pigmented. Best mineral eyeshadow and amazingly priced
All of the mineral eyeshadows I get I always get them from ELF. They have an amazing color selection and extremely affordable. You can't beat $3 per mineral eyeshadow. Great Colors
I received 10 mineral eye shadows with my last purchase. I've worn almost all of them and they lasted all day with a primer and base. They are easy to apply and blend. Here is a breakdown of the colors I ordered: Earthy-pale/light green (very shimmery) Elegant-sheer color mainly just shimmer (goes great over any eye shadow) Beachy-darker blue with indigo tones (not listed as matte but has very ...read morelittle shimmer) Seductive-matte black Royal-Mauve with purple tones (not listed as a shimmer but had more then matte colors) Natural-nude with slight peach tone (very shimmery) Partier-matte finish light charcoal in color Glamorous-light rust but dark pink (very shimmery and beautiful color...just had to describe) Celebrity-"natural" color with gold tones (very shimmery) Outdoorsy-green on the website and in packaging but no matter how applied it is black with a vibrant green shimmer. Not upset, but was expecting a green color. It is pretty because it looks green on the lid if you don't apply a whole lot. Even though these were free, I would pay the $3 each because they are great color payoff. When I initially swatched them, I only ran the color over my skin once. E.l.f. Mineral matte eyeshadow/ pigment
I work as an marketing casino host at a casino in las Vegas and I seriously have to present a well maintained appearance.
