I purchased this lash primer to boost my Diorshow mascara because I simply wasn't impressed with it on its own. And it worked. This primer really helps my lashes stand out, though I feel I get the best results if I put on two coats. So that's two coats of primer and one coat of mascara. If I can find a mascara I like that will work well enough on its own, I most likely will not purchase either of the Dior products again.
