Redness no more
I found this product while at a Clinique open house. They made me a sample to try out. I fell in love with it. It instantly kept my redness at bay throughout the day. I have received many compliments since starting to wear it. It feels very natural on and is moisturing. Pretty Good Product But Not So Much for Oily Skin Types
All in all, I like this product. It does cover the redness and seems to keep my skin calm without any irritation. I only gave it 7 stars though as they need more shades, especially lighter ones for those of us who are super pale and also because this does absolutely nothing to control oil. Do Not Want!
This makeup is just not what I was expecting at all! It looks so good on some people, but terrible on me. i feel like the formula felt dry when I swept it across my cheek. Not only that, but the color (even the lightest) was too dark and yellow on me. I was really excited about the probiotic technology too! I also find that it sits heavily in some people's pores, but not mine in particular. made my face burn
I have mild rosacea which my drugstore makeup (Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser) does a respectable but not ideal job of covering up, so when I was in Macy's recently and saw they were having a special in which you could get a free 10 day foundation sample from any counter, I made a beeline for Clinique. I only have one of their products so far, a Chubby Stick Intense tinted balm, but I like it very m...read moreuch, and I was hoping their foundation would work for my sensitive skin. The next to lightest color, #2, was a perfect match for me and covered my rosacea beautifully, and so I took my 10 day sample home. Unfortunately I only got to wear it two times before I had my hopes dashed. Although it did a fantastic job of covering my rosacea and looked very flattering as well, the first day I wore it I could feel it on my face all day long -- despite having applied it sparingly with a damp non-latex makeup sponge. This is not a sensation I care for. It wasn't as heavy as some drugstore foundations I've tried, but it was noticeable. Then the second day, my face began to burn slightly. It wasn't terrible, but still I couldn't wait to wash my face as soon as I got home from work that evening. And that was that. The caveat here is that I have been super-sensitive and highly allergic all my life, have multiple medication allergies (including antibiotics), several food intolerances, and have reacted to multiple makeup and styling products. SO, this product might end up working well for someone who is less sensitive than I am. This being Clinique, though, I was disappointed that I had a reaction. I’m going back to my Maybelline for now. Pretty Disappointing!
This was my first of many liquid foundations. At first, I'll be honest, I loved it! It had good coverage... But then I realized it's flaws. I am naturally very pale, verry fair skinned. But I have very flushed cheeks. I hoped this would help my flushing. Well, it covered it up by making my entire face WHITE! I had absolutly no color. I would always have a spot above my lip that was my natural skin color. I tried applying it with hands, sponges, and even a foundation brush. Awful, awful, awful! Love this makeup!
This was the first product I found that smoothly and consistently covered my rosacea. Also, if soothes my skin and helps it too. It's a bit heavy for me in summer because I live in a desert and am outside a lot, but for fall through spring it is great. I do have to set it with a mattifying powder for best results. Sometimes I uses the Clinique redness solutions yellow powder with it if I'm having a particularly red day due to allergies. My favorite product
Although I'm not an advocate for all that is clinique (I haven't really used a lot of their products nor am I familiar with all of them), this product instilled a lot of trust into the brand. Since I've been a...read more teenager, I've had roseacea which has made me look as if I caked on blush 24/7. After having to tell people all my life that I’m not wearing any blush, I figured my skin condition was just something I had to get used to. FALSE! I apply a small dab of the product with a q-tip and just like that--it was GONE. I starred in a hand mirror with disbelief. Such a small amount erased my cheek's harsh 10-year rosiness. Obviously I bought the largest size and now use it everyday. It looks natural too, which is a problem I encountered whenever I tried to cover the roseacea with concealer. I also place a little bit of the redness solution around my nostils and they return to match my complexion. It also lasts a long time. A small squirt covers all my redness and lasts the entire day. Even on the few occasions that I’ve forgotten to take my makeup off, I wake up and notice that it’s still kept my redness at bay. This stuff is magical. The proof is undeniable. Without a doubt I recommend this to anybody with redness problems. Pretty good...
I actually use this product when I get a sunburn, especially on my nose. It does a pretty good job of toning down the bright red (that gets my boyfriend singing Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer).
