Maybelline New York Volum' Express Falsies Flared Washable Reviews

Not Impressed
This mascara is alright, but there is nothing about it that makes it better than the rest. It's a bit clumpy, the brush can be hard to use, and it flakes. It does give your lashes some volume, but I wouldn't say that it looks like false lashes. — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Does nothing
This mascara does nothing for me. It didn't lengthen, didn't add volume, didn't even add color. To get some volume & color I had to add around 4 coats and even then, there was no false lash effect. I would say this actually gives a more natural look than anything. I also really didn't like this brush because it didn't grab onto my lashes which might have been why I didn't get much of an effect. I will say that it at least isn't clumpy. — 1 year, 12 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Another "Eh" Mascara
This mascara came with a lot of extreme reviews - it seemed that people were either crazy about it or completely couldn’t stand it. I am always excited to try a new mascara since I have yet to really find a holy grail, so when I got my hands on this product I was excited to see what was in store. The formula is fantastic for me, I will give it that. I have long, naturally curly eyelashes that are a bit sparse and prone to clumping. Falsies Flared built up volume for me quite well, and although it is possible to get clumps, it hasn’t happened often for me. However, as much as I enjoyed how the mascara made my eyelashes look, I have had a few problems with it. First off, I have found that this mascara flakes for me quite a bit. I suppose trying it with a primer might help, but I have not done that yet. Another complaint I had was the smell. I have no idea why no one else is talking about it, so I am guessing I may have just bought from a bad batch. For me the smell is extremely strong and foul, and it hits me from the time I take the wand out until the product dries on my eyelashses. I typically go through only one mascara at a time since they expire quickly and I hate having to throw things out, so there are many other mascaras out there I would like to try, and I will likely not repurchase this anytime soon. Overall, there are certainly many worse mascaras out there and this one is worth a try if you are looking for volume. It definitely doesn’t live up to the advertisements and name, but it’s a decent mascara overall if that’s what you’re looking for. — 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Always get compliments!
This basically blows diorshow out of the water. This is really really volumizing especially on the outside corners so you get that really cute kitty cat look where they sweet to the side. I've never gone a day without a compliment on this. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 9 of 9 people said helpful

Shape of Brush is Great, Formula Not So Much
I love the shape of this brush and this is definitely among the best mascaras that is offered on a drugstore level. The brush shape definitely curls your lashes up and allows them to open your eyes (no curler needed) but I feel that the formula is just too thin. Yes, it can leave your eyelashes looking wet at first, but then it dries and your eyelashes aren't that thick. The length part is pretty good, but the thickness and volume is lacking. Good try by the drugstore brands...but has some small cons. — 1 month, 4 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Nothing extraordinary.
I love to use lash extensions and I used to wear them everyday in college. I thought this mascara would help get the effect of lots of volume without the lash extensions, but the mascara is nothing more than an average mascara. It's a bit clumpy after 6 weeks but still works. Not my favorite. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Didn't like the brush.
I hated application of this. The brush was difficult for me to use on my Asian eyes and when I did get it on, it definitely did not get the look of wearing false lashes. Extremely far from. I did get a little bit of volume, but no length and little curl. It may work better for someone with big eyes that has long lashes already, but for me, not going to repurchase. — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

At first
It was great, but after a few uses I just didn't like the formula anymore. — 1 week, 5 days agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Gives decent volume and length
Maybelline's Falsies Flared gives pretty nice volume but it could hold curl better. If your lashes are naturally stick-straight like mine you probably won't have the best luck. But it honestly didn't look half-bad. I'll pass on purchasing another, though. — 3 weeks, 4 days agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
