Great product!

I was given a sample of this product awhile back, with the recommendation from a staff member that it would be perfect for styling my short pixie cut. Turns out this is meant to be a moisturizer for hair, I think? I liked it--it made my hair soft and the scent is pleasant, but not too strong...but it didn't really give me the control and texture I like for styling my hair. My hair is particularly ...read moredry and I get it trimmed so often I find I don't really need conditioner, so I never bought a full-size of this. But I have recommended it to friends who have enjoyed it.

Works on fine hair too

Just use it very sparingly because too much will make fine hair look greasy. Otherwise, it smells great and makes my hair super soft. I have used it both on wet & dry hair, wet hair works best.

Works great with my short Coily hair

I did the BC (big chop) around Thanksgiving and my hair was in complete shock afterwards. I realized that it loves moisture and water. I purchased the R&B after she let me take a sample and...read more rub it through my hair at the store. It works best after conditioning when it is wet. If applied when the hair is wet it leaves a lil white droplets that go away as the hair dries. I love this stuff. There is no gunky build up after it dries, my hair feels moisturized without feeling greasy and I can co-wash my hair without worrying about using a clarifying product. The only downfall is that it doesn't do much for frizz or curl definition. However it smells good which is a bonus. I will defiantely be purchasing this product in the future. I use it every day. After originally giving a great review on this product I had to repost do to the fact that it may be contributing to my adult acne. The dermatologist said that what I am putting in my hair may be causing some breakouts on my face. especially around my hair line.

Works Well But Oh That Smell

I've tried many Lush products and I'm a fan more often than not. I cannot get over, for example, how soft my hair is after using Lush's Marilyn hair mask or how nice my face feels when I use Lush's Brazened Honey mask. Each time I've tried it over the past few years I come to the same conclusions: 1) The product looks and smells pleasant while in the container..it looks like something I'd like to put on my hair 2) At first touch, my hair instantly shows improvement 3) It is very, very easy to overdo it and look greasy 4) The product never truly soaks in, at least in my hair. I can always "feel it" on the surface of my hair when I touch it. I don't like that feeling. It feels "heavy". 5) Here's the big one - that smell. That slightly sweet, slightly herbal, slightly oily/chemical-like smell. It never leaves. I put the R&B on approximately 24 hours ago and I can smell it on my hair right now. The smell will not leave until I wash it out. It interferes with my perfume and anything else I'd prefer to smell like. There are too many other leave in treatments out there to try, I will pass on this one.

LUSH r&b

The smell is pleasant but VERY strong. I have 4a texture hair. The product may work well with 3a or 3b curly hair but for my hair it did make it stronger but less manageable.

Love it

I have very straight hair. Even though this product is recommended for curly types, my hair is very dry and this is the perfect leave-in conditioner. A very little bit makes my hair look and feel naturally silky and shiny.

My New Fav Product!!!

I am always looking for something that will moisturize and soften my thick kinky hair (type 4ab). This product does just that! I purchased this a few months ago and it quickly became a staple. It's a thick product, so just a nickel size does wonders for my hair (sometimes I mix in castor oil when my hair is super dry!).
