ALMAY Pure Blends Eyeshadow Reviews

hmm
I know this has gotten a lot of good reviews, and maybe it's because I bought it from the dollar tree, but this stuff doesn't work too well for me. First of all it's chalky, and the color doesn't show up the way I thought it did, I wanted a real true gray but this ended up being way too light and I had to apply a lot of coats just to show the hue the packaging portrays. Also it doesn't even improve if your use it wet... in fact it doesn't look any different. — 2 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

YAY!
I got this at a local discount store for only $1.99 and I was actually excited to try it even though I don;t have a ton of almay in my makeup collection. Although I don;t have a large collection of almay, each product I have is amazing. So, this eyeshadow was begging for me to try it. I was surprised that this shadow is so pigmented! I got the color Apricot which is a nice, golden champage. I love that they are made with acai and lotus as well, plus the compact is 58% recycled, and the shadow is 98. 2% natural! — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Great price and product
This has a nice color to it. I really like the natural results. I would but this if you are trying a natural approach to skincare. For the price its a definite boost into the natural side of make up. — 2 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

For $1 it is pretty good.
It is okay for what price I paid. Pros: The pigmentation is nice in cinnamon 235 Cons: Chunky and not easily applied. — 11 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Brow shadow :)))
I found this product at the dollar store and I bought it in cocoa.... I don't like brown eye shadow so I tested it on my brows...with a good brow brush it turned out to be my perfect color!!! Loving this. — 1 year, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Works well
Lasts all day (wore it when I got married), great color options. The packaging is a little 'meh', but the product is great. — 1 year, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

It's pretty good, works well enough!
About a year ago two years ago I started suffering from dermatitis on my eye lids (terrible i may add!) so i got prescribed medicine for it and was told to discontinue the use of my eye shadows unless their were hypoallergenic. Since i started using this, i have had no dermatitis outbursts, I only use it in a white matte color to highlight my eyes inner courner and below my eyebrow. And just barely a little over my eyelid. I can actually wear (but not frequently) my favorite eye color (which is another brand) as long as it's put over this eye shadow! The color on my eyelid doesn't look very even and it's the only reason why i would not use it for all over eye shadow purposes. But it works for my sensitive skin, so great! — 1 year, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Color selection is lacking
I am allergic to paraben so I was excited to try this product since it is paraben free. So far, I have had no problems which is wonderful. I have two frustrations. The first is with coverage. I apply with either a wet sponge or a wet brush, but I often have to apply several coats for it to look as if I have any on my eyelids, and it does not last to the end of the workday. My second frustration is with the selection of colors. Last year I was able to buy the color Oatmeal which I liked a lot but which seems to have been discontinued to my dismay. The only colors I can ever find in any store are Ivory which I do not like, Cocoa which I like, and Pink and Lavender which don't really work well for me. I would definitely like to see some additional color choices, as well as a return of Oatmeal. — 2 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
