Dissatisfied
I love Aveda products because they are natural and good quality. I bought this product to keep flyaways under control, and straighten the curls I have, as recommended by my stylist. However, when I applied a small amount to my hair when I got it home, my hair felt sticky and it was clumpy. It also didn't help fly aways and did not straighten my hair. My hair is curly in the back and straight in front, so it looks weird. I thought this product woul solve my dilemma, but it did not. I have thick wavy hair and I've always had a hard time finding something that can help my hair stay straight, especially in the summertime when it's hot and humid. My aveda stylist recommended this to me and I can honestly say that I love it. I like the packaging -I always like the plastic package that you can cut open to scoop out every last drop. The smell is very nice too, kind of fresh and clean. It kind of looks like petroleum jelly but it doesn't feel that way at all. My hair feels very soft, not sticky or weighed down. You only need to use a small amount, maybe the size of a dime or a nickel. It really keeps my hair from getting frizzy and out of control. I was told to use this before you blow dry your hair but I usually just let my hair air dry and it still works fine for taming down the fly aways and frizz. Great stuff!
My hairdresser uses this on me when she blow dries my hair. I got it for free, and use it after I wash my hair. This stuff smells amazing!! It's a little pricey if you're not used to buying salon products--but you really do need just a little. I have waist length hair and I don't need that much. I got a sample with an Aveda purchase, and I would most definitely buy the full-sized product if I straightened my hair frequently (I have Asian hair so I usually don't). It's thick but not greasy like a silicon-based product. The smell is amazing!! It reminds me of tea and flowers. It really protects my hair from heat styling and the sun, and keeps its soft and remarkably shiny. No frizz here! This lasts a long time because you only really need a little bit. I use it whenever I straighten my hair or even if I just want to get rid of frizz. It makes my hair shinier without making it greasy. It's really natural looking. Great smoother
My hair is fine so I must use this product VERY sparingly in order to enjoy the benefits without weighing my hair down, but a little dab before styling helps control all the little flyaways that my damaged hair tends to have. aveda is the best
if I had to choose one product from Aveda... I think this might be the one.. maybe style prep... but god.. what a hard decision...
