More like hair tar....
The only good thing about this product is that it doesn't stink horribly, just a little. I used this once after receiving it from Matrix as a trial sample. Not only was it like putting chewing gum in my hair, I think I must be about bald from the amount of hair this stuff ripped out of my head when I tried to wash it out and comb shampoo and conditioner thru it. It does not melt easily in the heat of your hands, nor does it under scalding hot water when I tried two wash it out. If you need a product to start growing dreadlocks, this one is for you.
