I THINK HEAVEN MUST SMELL LIKE THIS

I would imagine that the scent in Heaven is very similar to Creed's "Love in White" (or possibly one of their other sublime, beyond-description fragrances). This particular one is blended with ingredients from five continents--orange zest from Spain, rice husk from Tonkin, white jasmine from Italy, magnolia from Guatemala, Bulgarian rose, sandalwood from India, and ambergris. When I first smelle...read mored this, I was literally taken aback. It is so subtle, so unique, so fantastic that I was literally stunned. I went back and smelled again. WAS I DREAMING THIS? Eventually, it was given to me as a cherished gift. A savvy reviewer below notes that when you purchase Creed, you are purchasing history. This line of fragrances was founded in 1760, with the mixtures passed from father to son. It is the world's only privately held fragrance dynasty, using the highest percentage of natural components. This particular fragrance made its debut in the United States as opposed to France, inspired by the "pure white light" emanating from the Empire State Building. The Creed family still weighs, mixes, and measures by hand with incredibly high standards most fragrance manufacturers cannot begin to comprehend. Yes, the scents are incredibly expensive, but they cannot do the fragrances justice. Oh, for a thousand stars to post for this!

Disappointed for a lot of money

I bought the huge bottle because I figured something this popular and well reviewed couldn't be awful. It smelled like cool water to me. Except cool water smells better. I ended up not wearing it for 5 years and throwing it in the trash finally about a month ago. That hurt a little considering how much the giant bottle cost. I expected sexy and exotic and this was just junk.

Great quality

These perfumes smell beautiful. I absolutely love the Virgin Island Waters and Aquaflorentina. Sadly the Aquaflorentina is discontinued but I heard it will soon come back. True these perfumes are expensive but they last really long and smell all day long. I still have almost the whole bottle from last February.

worthy of having just for historical value

Creed is a well known producer of fine colognes & perfumes, steeped in history- with a following of women from royalty and down. The smell does not linger as I'd like, it is light though and doesn't detract from say- the scent of your roses and gourmet dinner? This is one whose value is not measured by packaging alone- you cannot do that when you are buying a piece of real history.
